Recruitment Notice for Anganwadi Helpers

This notice is to inform the general public that, in accordance with Government Order No. 2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated September 17, 2025, online applications are invited from eligible female candidates for direct recruitment to vacant posts of Anganwadi Helpers on an honorarium basis in Child Development Projects operating in urban/rural areas of Maharajganj District. The online applications can be submitted through the departmental website http://upanganwadibharti.in. The project-wise details of vacant posts are as follows:

Detailed ward-wise/gram sabha-wise vacancy details, along with reservation and complete eligibility criteria, have been posted on the notice boards of the Collectorate, Vikas Bhawan, Tehsil, Block, and Child Development Project Offices in the district, as well as uploaded on the departmental website http://upanganwadibharti.in.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Instructions

  1. Only female candidates are eligible for the advertised posts.
  2. For the vacant posts (Anganwadi Helper), the minimum educational qualification is Intermediate (12th grade) or equivalent, and the maximum is Post-graduation. Merit will be determined based on qualifications from Intermediate to Post-graduation.
  3. The applicant must be a permanent resident of the ward/gram sabha where the vacant post is located.
  4. The applicant's age should be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 35 years as of the cut-off date of July 01, 2025. The date of birth mentioned in the High School mark sheet/certificate will be considered valid.

Selection Preference

Preference in selection will be given as follows:

  • Widow women from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (urban areas).
  • Legally divorced/abandoned women from BPL families residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (urban areas).
  • If no eligible widow/divorced/abandoned women from BPL families are found, then women from BPL families residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (urban areas).
  • If no such candidate is found, the preference order continues:
    • Widow women from Above Poverty Line (APL) families residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (urban areas).
    • Legally divorced/abandoned women from APL families residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (urban areas).
    • If no eligible widow/divorced/abandoned women from APL families are found, then women from APL families residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (urban areas).
  • If no eligible candidate from any of the above categories is available in the same Gram Sabha, then selection will be made category-wise from the concerned Nyay Panchayat.

Validity of Certificates

  • For Widow: Death certificate issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer/concerned Nagar Nikay and certified copy of the family register.
  • For Divorced/Abandoned: Legal order issued by the Honorable Court.
  • For Income Certificate: Only income certificates issued by the competent authority as per Uttar Pradesh Government Revenue Section-9 Order No. 3959/1-9-11-Raj0-9 dated 30.09.2011 (as amended) will be valid, and online verification must be possible.
  • Poverty Line Income Limits: As per Uttar Pradesh Government Social Welfare Section-2 Order No. 22/2015/2123/26-2-2015 dated 14.09.2015 (as amended), the current annual income limit for BPL in rural areas is Rs. 46,080.00 and in urban areas is Rs. 56,460.00.
  • For Domicile and Caste Certificate: Certificates issued by Tehsil with online digital signatures will be valid, and online verification must be possible.

Application Procedure

  1. Online application forms for the advertised posts will only be accepted through the departmental website http://upanganwadibharti.in within the stipulated time. Offline applications will not be accepted under any circumstances. Applications must be filled correctly and carefully. Applicants must upload self-attested, clean, and legible copies of documents as mentioned in their online form. Any application or document found to have errors, false information, or manipulated academic marks/grades will lead to the cancellation of candidature.

Important Dates

  1. The last date for submitting online applications for the advertised posts is December 06, 2025, until midnight (12:00 AM).

Other Important Instructions

  1. Only one woman from a single family will be appointed to the post of Anganwadi Worker/Helper in one Anganwadi Center.
  2. Detailed application forms, eligibility criteria, and information regarding the application process are available on the departmental website http://upanganwadibharti.in. Further information can also be obtained from the Child Development Project Officer's office at the Block level or the District Program Officer's office at the Vikas Bhawan during working hours on working days.
  3. The number of vacancies may be increased or decreased.
