Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), a 'Maharatna' Central Public Sector Enterprise and India's flagship energy major, invites applications for the engagement of apprentices under The Apprentices Act, 1961. This initiative aims to build skills within the nation by engaging apprentices from ONGC's operational areas across 25 work centres. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for various trades/disciplines.

A total of 2743 apprentices will be engaged across various work centres in different sectors. The distribution is as follows:
Candidates must choose a trade and location as per their preference, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria. Applications for more than one work centre or trade will result in apprenticeship being allocated at one centre and for one trade only, at ONGC's discretion. A detailed list of work centres, trades, and allocated seats is available in the original notification.
Candidates are invited to apply for engagement as Apprentices under The Apprentices Act 1961. Essential minimum qualifications must be met. Qualifications acquired through distance learning are acceptable if recognized by relevant statutory bodies. Trade Certificates must be from ITIs/Technical Institutions recognized by State Board of Technical Education (SBTE)/National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). For posts requiring Trade Certificate in Electrician, a Wireman trade certificate is not acceptable. Candidates with B.A/B.Com/B.B.A/B.E./B.Tech must possess qualifications recognized by UGC/AICTE.
The duration of training for all mentioned trades is 12 months.

A candidate is eligible to apply for a particular work centre if they are a resident (domicile) of, or have obtained their essential qualification from, the eligible district(s) corresponding to that work centre (Refer to Annexure 1 in the original document for details).
Apprentices are eligible for a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act:
Selections for engagement of Apprentices will be based on merit obtained in the qualifying examination. In case of a tie in merit, candidates with higher age will be preferred. Reservation for various categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) will be applied as per Government guidelines.
Paper-based applications will NOT be accepted.
