Notification for Exemption Certificate for PwBD Candidates in Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) - CEN 05/2024

This notification is issued by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) concerning the Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) for shortlisted Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates for various NTPC Graduate posts under CEN – 05/2024.

  1. The second stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2) was conducted on October 13, 2025, and its results were published on December 15, 2025. The CBTST for the shortlisted candidates is tentatively scheduled for December 28, 2025.

  2. As per Para 13.4 of CEN 05/2024, shortlisted PwBD candidates with permanent disability less than 40%, and those with blindness/low vision, cerebral palsy, or locomotor disability, are exempted from the CBTST. This exemption is subject to uploading a scanned copy of the Skill Test Exemption Certificate, issued by a competent Medical Board (constituted by Central or State Government), in the format prescribed in Annexure V(E) of CEN 05/2024.

  3. Shortlisted PwBD candidates seeking exemption from CBTST must upload a scanned copy of the Typing Skill Test Exemption Certificate issued by a competent Medical Board.

  4. A helpdesk link for uploading the scanned copy of the Typing Skill Test Exemption Certificate will be made available on the respective RRB websites. Shortlisted PwBD candidates are advised to upload the valid medical certificate through the grievance/helpdesk portal using their candidate login from December 19, 2025, to December 26, 2025, till 18:00 hrs. The proforma for the Typing Skill Test Exemption Certificate is attached herewith and is also available as Annexure V(E) of CEN 05/2025.

    For uploading the exemption certificate, candidates must:

    • Select Problem Category: Typing Skill Test
    • Sub-category: Exemption Certificate
    • Ensure the format is JPG or PDF.
    • Ensure the maximum file size is within 5 MB.
  5. Candidates who are unable to upload the certificate may appear with the original Typing Skill Test Exemption Certificate at the allotted CBTST examination center.

  6. Candidates must present the original Typing Skill Test Exemption Certificate during document verification. Failure to do so will lead to immediate cancellation of their candidature.

  7. Candidates are advised to refer only to the official RRB websites for the latest updates regarding the recruitment process. Please do not be misled by unverified sources.

  8. Candidates are cautioned against touts who may mislead them with false promises of securing jobs in exchange for illegal benefits. Selection in RRB is based on computer-based examinations, and recruitment is solely based on the candidate's merit.
