  • Minimum Qualification & Experience:
    1. Must be a Graduate from any recognized university.
    2. Post Graduate Diploma in Computer from any Institution recognized by a University (recognized by University Grants Commission).

General Notes on Recruitment

  1. The number of posts and reserved posts may increase or decrease at any time. This advertisement and appointment are subject to the final outcome of S.L.P. (C) No. 19668/2022 of the Supreme Court of India.
  2. Posts reserved for SC, ST & OBC are exclusively for bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh State. Applicants from other states, even if recognized as SC, ST & OBC in their own states, will be considered only against Unreserved (UR) posts.
  3. OBC candidates must not be in the creamy layer.
  4. Reservation for women candidates is applicable only to local residents of Chhattisgarh State.
  5. If any reserved post or 30% of female unreserved category posts remain vacant due to a lack of suitable female candidates, such posts will not be carried forward to the next year and will be filled by male candidates of the same category.

Other Conditions

  1. Applicants must be a citizen of India.
  2. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025): Minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years (40 years for bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh).
  3. Age Relaxation:
    • Upto 5 years for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Classes candidates of Chhattisgarh State.
    • Upto 10 years for women candidates who are local residents of Chhattisgarh State.
    • Upto 5 years for Government servants (permanent or temporary) in addition to other relaxations.
    • For Physically Disabled Persons (Divyang Persons) as per Government of Chhattisgarh, GAD circular dated 27.09.2014.
    • Maximum age limit, including all relaxations, should not exceed 45 years.
  4. Applicants must have good character, be of sound mind and body, and be free from any bodily or mental defect rendering them unfit for appointment.
  5. Applicants should not have more than one spouse living.
  6. Applicants should not have been dismissed or removed from service by any High Court, Government, or Statutory/Local Authority.
  7. Applicants should not have been convicted of any offense involving moral turpitude or permanently debarred/disqualified by any High Court/Union/State Public Service Commission or any Services Selection Board or Staff Selection Commission.
  8. Candidates claiming reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) must submit their permanent Caste Certificate duly issued by a competent authority, along with a certificate of resident of Chhattisgarh. Otherwise, they will be treated under the Unreserved Category. Self-attested copies of these certificates are required with the application.
  9. Reserved candidates (SC/ST/OBC) are required to submit an affidavit at the time of joining, as per the proforma prescribed by the State Government with memo dated 29.06.2013, failing which their appointment will be cancelled.
  10. Candidates with less than 40% disability will not be considered under the Physically Disabled (Divyang) Category and will be treated in their respective category.
  11. Candidates must possess the requisite qualification and experience on or before the last date of online application.
  12. Persons already in service must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of document verification; otherwise, their candidature will be rejected.
  13. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in any test.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a two-phase examination:

Phase - I (Screening Test)

  • Applicable Posts: Junior Judicial Assistant & Junior Judicial Assistant (Computer)
  • Max. Marks: 100 Marks
  • Test Format: Consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with 1 mark for each question.
  • Marking: No negative marking.
  • Purpose: Phase-I is only a screening test. Candidates will be called for Phase-II Skill Test in the ratio of 1:15 based on marks obtained in Phase-I.
  • Merit List: Marks obtained in Phase-I will not be considered for preparing the final merit list.

Phase - II (Skill Test)

  • Test Medium: The test will be conducted in "Open Source Operating System (Ubuntu) with Word Processor Libre Office".
  • Merit List Basis: The select lists for both posts will be prepared based on the marks obtained by candidates in the skill tests only.
(A) Junior Judicial Assistant (Computer)
  • Total marks for Skill Test: 50 Marks
  • English Typing Test: A passage of 500 words to be typed in 20 minutes.
  • Marks for Typing Test: 50 Marks
  • Marks Deduction: 1/4 Marks for each mistake.
(B) Junior Judicial Assistant
  • Total marks for Skill Test: 50 Marks
  • English Typing Test: A passage of 300 words to be typed in 10 minutes (25 Marks).
  • Hindi Typing Test: A passage of 250 words to be typed in 10 minutes (25 Marks).
  • Marks Deduction: 1/4 Marks for each mistake.

Post-Selection Process

  1. After receiving the category-wise merit list (SC, ST, OBC, Male, Female & Divyang separately, and common merit list) from Vyapam, the High Court will publish the same and the document verification dates on its website.
  2. After document verification, the High Court will publish the select list and waiting list on its website.
  3. Candidature will be cancelled at any time if documents are not found as per eligibility criteria, or if the selected candidate does not possess the requisite qualification/experience for the post.
  4. Tie-breaking Criteria:
    • If two or more candidates secure equal marks, the candidate born earlier will be placed higher.
    • If their date of birth is also the same, preference will be given to candidates who have passed the Typewriting examination in both Hindi and English language from any recognized board.
  5. Selected candidates, after joining, will be kept on probation as per the rules.
  6. Records of the recruitment examination will be eliminated six months after the declaration of the selection result. No application for certified copies or inspection of documents related to the selection process will be entertained under the R.T.I. Act thereafter.
