Eligibility Criteria (as on 31.01.2026)

Basic Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech in Environmental Engineering/Climate Change or equivalent with first class. OR
  • Postgraduate/Master's degree in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Management/Environmental Sciences/Climate Change/Climate Finance/Sustainability/Statistics/MBA (Finance)/MBA (Banking & Finance) or equivalent from a recognized university with first class.

Preferred Qualification / Certification

  • Financial Risk Manager (FRM) by GARP, or
  • Professional Risk Managers by PRMIA, or
  • Sustainability and Climate Risk by GARP or any Climate Risk related course from a globally reputed institute.

Experience

  • Mandatory: Minimum 3 years of post-qualification work experience in the Risk Management Department of any Bank/Financial Institution/Rating Agency/Brokerage firm or Risk Advisory in a Consulting Firm.
  • Preferred: 2 years of work experience in dealing with Climate Change related financial risk and assessment models.

Specific Skills Desired

  • Experience in Risk Management Cycle with expertise in Climate Change Risk Management.
  • Knowledge of Identification, Assessment, Measurement, and Disclosures of risk.
  • Experience in Climate Change Risk Assessment, Sustainability strategy, Climate Finance, and Green finance.
  • Working knowledge of Climate Risk Models (e.g., IAMs, GCAM, PACTA).
  • Expertise in Model development/validation/audit for financial and non-financial risks.
  • Proficiency in Climate Scenario Analysis and Stress testing.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Grade & Remuneration

  • Grade: Middle Management Grade Scale – III (MMGS-III)
  • Pay Scale: Rs (85920-2680/5-99320-2980/2-105280)
  • Allowances: The official will be eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, Provident Fund, NPS, Leave Fare Concession (LFC), Medical Facility, and other perquisites as per bank rules.
  • Probation Period: 6 months

Selection Process

  • The selection will be based on shortlisting and interview.
  • Shortlisting: The shortlisting committee will decide the parameters for shortlisting candidates for the interview.
  • Interview: The interview will be for 100 marks. The qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.
  • Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the interview only.
