The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination, 2025. This press note details the candidates recommended for appointment based on the Stage-I (Preliminary) Examination held on 9th February, 2025, Stage-II (Main) Examination held on 21st & 22nd June, 2025, and subsequent Personality Tests conducted in September, 2025.The following posts are included in this recommendation:

In accordance with Rule 16 of the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination, 2025, the Commission has maintained a consolidated Reserve List of candidates as under:
Scientist 'B' (Hydrogeology) / Assistant Hydrogeologist
Geophysicist / Scientist 'B' (Geophysics) / Assistant Geophysicist
Appointments to the above posts will be made by the Government according to the number of vacancies available and subject to candidates fulfilling all prescribed eligibility conditions and completing all pre-appointment formalities/verifications. Allotment of candidates to services/posts will be based on merit position and preference of services/posts opted.
The offer of appointment to candidates whose result has been kept provisional will not be issued until the Commission verifies their original documents. The provisionality is valid for three months from the date of declaration of Final result. Failure to submit requisite documents within this period will lead to cancellation of candidature without further correspondence.
UPSC maintains a 'Facilitation Counter' near Examination Hall on its campus. Candidates can obtain information/clarification regarding their examination/recruitment on working days between 10:00 hrs. to 17:00 hrs in person or over telephone numbers 011-23385271 / 23381125. The result is also available on the UPSC website: www.upsc.gov.in. Marks of the candidates will be made available on the website within fifteen days from the date of publication of the result.
