The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an addendum notice regarding the Combined Recruitment Test for various posts. This notice provides details about the recruitment test, its scheme, syllabus, and other important information for candidates.

Recruitment for Various Posts

The Combined Recruitment Test is for the recruitment to the following posts:

  • Assistant Legal Advisor in Directorate of Enforcement, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance: 5 vacancies (SC-01, OBC-01, UR-03). [Adv. No. 06/2025, Vacancy No. 25050622224].

Combined Recruitment Test (RT) Details

The Commission has decided to conduct an Offline Pen and Paper Based COMBINED RECRUITMENT TEST for short-listing candidates. Only candidates shortlisted in the RT and who fulfill all eligibility conditions will be called for interview.

  • Date of Test: 11.01.2026 (SUNDAY)
  • Session: FORENOON SESSION
  • Time: 10:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M.

Scheme of the Test

  • Duration: Two hours.
  • Marking: All questions will carry equal marks.
  • Type of Questions: Objective type questions with multiple choices of answer.
  • Medium: English only.
  • Penalty for Wrong Answers: There will be a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to each wrong answer. No penalty for unanswered questions.
  • Maximum Marks: The Test will carry a maximum of 300 marks.

Important Notes

  • Note-I: Intimation about the venue of the Recruitment Test will be communicated to candidates in due course. E-admit cards will be released one week prior to the date of the Recruitment Test.
  • Note-II: The Combined RT and the Interview shall carry a 75:25 weightage for candidates shortlisted out of the Recruitment Test and those who qualify in the interview.
  • Suitability Standards for Interview:
    • General/EWS Category: 50 and above
    • OBC: 45 and above (on relaxed standards)
    • SC/ST: 40 and above (on relaxed standards)
    • PWD (Gen/EWS/OBC/SC/ST): 40 and above (on relaxed standards)
  • Note-III: No request for change of test centre will be entertained.
