Document Verification (Round-2) and Medical Examination Schedule
This notice pertains to the Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination (ME) - Round 2 for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) vacancies under CEN No. 01/2024, issued by Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Chandigarh. This follows the Computer Based Tests (CBT-I, CBT-II, CBAT) and previous rounds of DV and ME, based on which the Main Panel (248 candidates) and Part Panel-1 (26 candidates) were published on 2025-11-06 and 2025-11-13 respectively.
Candidates provisionally shortlisted on the basis of their performance in CBTs are required to undergo verification of documents/certificates, confirmation of candidature genuineness, and Medical Examination as per the schedule below.
Important Notes:
- Candidature is purely provisional and subject to cancellation if any inconsistency, deficiency, discrepancy, or malpractice is found.
- Being shortlisted for DV/ME does not guarantee appointment. RRB reserves the right to rectify errors.
- Candidates are advised to thoroughly read and understand all instructions in the Detailed Centralized Employment Notification No. 01/2024 and its corrigendum. Keep a record of all information submitted in the application form.
Important Instructions

NOC from Employer for Serving Employees
- Candidates serving in any Central/State Government Department, including Railways or Public Sector Undertakings (including those undergoing induction training/probation), must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer on the DV date. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of candidature.

Downloading of E-Call Letter
- The link to download the e-Call letter for DV will be live on the official website of RRB Chandigarh (www.rrbcdg.gov.in) 4 days prior to the scheduled DV date.
- Candidates must download, print, and carefully read all instructions. Eligible SC/ST candidates will be provided with free travel authority as per existing rules.

Uploading of Softcopies & Personal Data
- A link for uploading the latest photo, signature, identification marks, Aadhaar number, and nicely scanned relevant original documents will be provided on the official RRB website 10 days prior to the scheduled DV date.
- Follow all instructions and FAQs on the portal carefully.
- Documents to be uploaded:
- Aadhaar Card, passport size photograph, signature, and two identification marks (excluding mole).
- E-Call Letter issued during CBT.
- Matriculation (10th Class) Certificate and Marksheet (in a single PDF file).
- Community Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS): OBC and EWS candidates must upload their Community Certificate valid as on the date of online application submission, as well as the current valid certificate, combined in a single PDF file.
- Affidavit: Required if there is any spelling discrepancy in the candidate's name, father's name, mother's name, or any other document.
- Divyang (PwBD) candidates must upload their Disability Certificate along with Unique Disability Identity Card (UDID) in a single PDF file.
- Diploma/Degree and all related Mark Sheets (semester-wise) in a single PDF file.
- Any other certificates/documents can be uploaded under the 'Additional Documents' category.
- Candidates are advised to keep all scanned copies in their Google Drive or pen drive.

Hardcopies for Document Verification
- Candidates must bring the following to the Document Verification:
- Printout of the E-Call letter along with Valid/Latest Identity proofs (preferably 2 IDs in original) like Aadhaar, PAN, EPIC, Passport, DL, or any Govt. I-Card for smooth entry to the DV hall.
- All relevant documents in original and 2 sets of photocopies duly self-attested.
- At least 6 passport-size photographs with a white background (not more than one month old).
- Candidate's foil of the e-call letter for CBT-I & a copy of the application form.
- Rs. 24/- in cash for the Medical Examination Fee.
- If certificates are not in English / Hindi, a self-attested translated version (in Hindi / English) must be produced.
- Certificates produced during DV must be strictly in the prescribed formats. No additional time will be given if original certificates are not produced, and candidature will be forfeited/cancelled.
Schedule for Document Verification & Medical Examination
- Scheduled Dates for DV: 2025-12-02 to 2025-12-03 (Candidates should check their roll numbers under scheduled dates below).
- Place of DV: Railway Recruitment Board Office, Railway Colony, Near Railway Station, Chandigarh. (Google Location: Near Prachin Shiv Mandir on Panchkula Side Station Road).
- Reporting Time: 09:30 AM.
- Medical Examination: Will be conducted on the next working day of DV of candidate. Instructions regarding Venue, Reporting Time, and other information for ME will be given by DV officers after successful completion of DV.
- Block Date for Absentees: 2025-12-15.

Block Date for Absentee Candidates: 2025-12-15
Candidates who fail to report for Document Verification on their regular assigned date due to valid reasons (supported by documentary evidence of appearing in a University/Government examination or sickness) will be given a second and final chance to attend on the block date. No other reason for absence will be considered.
- Reporting Time: 09:30 AM.
- Venue: RRB, Chandigarh office.
- No fresh e-call letter will be sent; candidates must attend DV with the same e-call letter downloaded for the regular Document Verification.
Entry and Conduct
- Entry: Candidates are advised to reach well in time on their scheduled DV date and check their roll number in the seating plan displayed at the main entrance of DV Hall. Entry will be allowed only after verifying the e-Call letter with ID proofs.
- Inside DV Hall: Candidates must appear in a presentable outfit (preferably formals) and carry only necessary belongings. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited. Maintain discipline and follow instructions given by DV officials. Any unfair or disobedient activity will lead to disqualification.
Post-Document Verification Process
- DV officials will generate a Medical Memo in two foils for each verified candidate.
- A Medical Examination Fee of Rs. 24/- will be collected, and its receipt along with two passport-size photographs will be stapled on the memo.
- Candidates must ink their thumb impressions, sign, and write their working mobile number neatly on both foils.
- DV officials will collect the memos and brief candidates about the venue, date, time, and instructions for the Medical Examination.
Medical Examination Details
- After successful DV, candidates will be sent for a medical examination at the nominated Railway Hospital within the jurisdiction of the concerned RRB on the next working day.
- Candidates are required to be prepared to stay for more than four days for DV/ME at their own cost. Do not bring belongings to the Railway Hospitals as no facility is available to keep them. Carry only original valid and current Photo ID proof.
- No fees or charges are to be paid to the hospitals/health unit for the medical examination.
- In rare cases, if investigations such as CT scans, ultrasound, or tests to rule out refractive eye surgery are required and such facilities are unavailable at the Railway Hospital/Health Unit, candidates may need to make the necessary payment to the concerned laboratory/hospital.
