  3. Language and Font: English will be the default typing language. Candidates opting for Hindi must be familiar with KrutiDev or Mangal font.

    • (ii) A 30-second break.
    • (iii) A 10-minute typing test which will be evaluated.
  5. Passage Typing: As the skill test is to determine speed, candidates who complete the passage can retype the passage from the beginning within the 10-minute duration. Candidates who fail to type the complete passage at least once in 10 minutes will be considered disqualified. The transcripts of candidates who do not type 300 words in English or 250 words in Hindi within the stipulated time will not be evaluated.
  6. Evaluation of Mistakes:
    • Mistakes will be classified as full mistakes and half mistakes.
    • 5% of the total words typed are ignored for errors.
    • The total number of mistakes will be calculated as: Total Mistakes = Number of full mistakes + (Number of half mistakes / 2)
    • Final count of mistakes = Total Mistakes - (5% of total words typed).
  7. Typing Speed Calculation:
    • The typing speed will be calculated using the following formula: Typing Speed = [Total words typed - (Final count of mistakes x 10)] / Time (10)
    • Example: If a candidate types 400 words in 10 minutes with 10 mistakes, the speed will be calculated as: [400 - (10 x 10)] / 10 = 300 / 10 = 30 words per minute.
  8. Minimum Speed Requirement: The minimum required typing speed is 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Hindi.
  9. Editing Tools: The use of editing tools to correct mistakes in the typed matter is not permitted.
