This notice is to inform the public that, in accordance with the new Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated September 17, 2025, online applications are invited for direct recruitment to vacant Anganwadi Sahayika (Assistant) posts on an honorarium basis within the urban and rural areas of Varanasi district. Applications must be submitted through the departmental website https://upanganwadibharti.in.

Eligibility and Application Instructions

  1. Candidates are advised to thoroughly read the Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated September 17, 2025, and instructions available on the website before applying, to avoid any errors.
  2. All selection processes will be governed by the Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated September 17, 2025, issued by the Child Development and Nutrition Department, Uttar Pradesh.
  3. Only female candidates are eligible for the advertised posts.
  4. The minimum educational qualification for vacant Anganwadi Worker posts is Intermediate (12th pass) or equivalent. A merit list will be prepared by aggregating marks up to Post-graduation.
  5. The applicant must be a permanent resident of the ward/Gram Sabha where the vacant post is located.
  6. Domicile and caste certificates issued by the Tehsildar with an online digital signature will be valid and can be verified online.
  7. Income certificates issued by the Revenue Department of the Uttar Pradesh Government (Order No. 3959/1-9-11-राज0-9 dated 30.09.2021, as amended) will be valid and verifiable online. In this regard, if any separate government order is issued by the Revenue Department in the future, action will be taken according to the provisions of the new government order. The annual income limit for the poverty line (as per Social Welfare Department, U.P. Government Order No. 22/2015/2123/26-2-2015 dated September 14, 2015) is Rs. 46,080.00 for rural areas and Rs. 56,460.00 for urban areas. The income certificate must be valid up to the last date of application.
  8. For widowed applicants, a death certificate issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer/concerned Municipal Body and a certified copy of the family register will be accepted.
  9. For divorced/abandoned applicants, legal orders issued by the Hon'ble Court will be accepted.
  10. The applicant's age, as of July 01, 2025, must be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 35 years. For age verification, the date of birth recorded in the high school mark sheet/certificate for Anganwadi Worker and Assistant will be accepted.
  11. The selection of Anganwadi Workers and Assistants will follow government orders regarding reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes.
  12. Online applications for the advertised posts will be accepted only through the Anganwadi recruitment portal https://upanganwadibharti.in within the specified time frame. Offline applications will not be accepted under any circumstances.
  13. The last date for online application is December 06, 2025.
  14. The number of advertised posts may increase or decrease, and the updated information will be displayed on the website.

  17. The Anganwadi Worker post is purely temporary and honorarium-based. It is not governed by the U.P. State Employee Service Rules and may be terminated at any time as per government directives.
