The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), Jaipur, has released a detailed advertisement for the Joint Direct Recruitment for the posts of Clerk Grade-II and Junior Assistant for various government departments. Online applications are invited from candidates who have qualified in the Common Eligibility Test (CET - Senior Secondary Level)-2024.

Application Fee
This is a one-time registration (OTR) fee:
- General Category & Creamy Layer OBC/MBC: ₹600
- Rajasthan's Non-Creamy Layer OBC/MBC, EWS, SC/ST: ₹400
- All Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan): ₹400
Candidates who have already paid the OTR fee do not need to pay again.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2027)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules. Special age relaxations are provided for certain departments due to no recruitment in previous years.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the following qualifications by the date of the Phase-II typing test:
- Senior Secondary from a recognized Board or its equivalent Examination.
AND
- One of the following computer qualifications:
- "O" or Higher Level certificate course conducted by DOEACC (now NIELIT).
- Certificate course on computer concept by NIELIT, New Delhi.
- Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)/Data Preparation and Computer Software (DPCS) certificate.
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Computer Science /Computer Application from a recognized university or institution.
- Senior Secondary Certificate with Computer Science/ Computer Application as one of the subjects.
- Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized polytechnic institution.
- Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Information Technology (RSCIT).
AND
- Knowledge of working in Hindi written in Devanagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthan's culture.
Pay Scale
- Pay Matrix Level-5 as per the 7th Pay Commission. A fixed remuneration will be paid during the probation period as per state government rules.
Examination Scheme
The recruitment process will be conducted in two phases:

- All questions will be of Objective Type (Multiple Choice).
- There will be negative marking of 1/3rd for each wrong answer.
- Candidates need to score a minimum of 40% marks in each paper of Phase-I to be eligible for Phase-II.
Phase-II: Typing Test
(For candidates other than Persons with Disabilities)
1. Hindi Typing on Computer:
- Speed Test: 10 minutes, 25 Marks
- Efficiency Test: 10 minutes, 25 Marks
2. English Typing on Computer:
- Speed Test: 10 minutes, 25 Marks
- Efficiency Test: 10 minutes, 25 Marks
Note: For Persons with Disabilities, they will be awarded the average marks obtained by them in Phase-I.

Paper-I: General Knowledge, Everyday Science, and Mathematics
- General Knowledge: Current Affairs (National and Regional), Geography and Natural Resources of India and Rajasthan, Agriculture and Economic Development in Rajasthan, History and Culture of Rajasthan, Industrial Development in Rajasthan.
- Everyday Science: Physical and Chemical Changes, Metals and Non-metals, Carbon, Light, Electricity, Space and Information Technology, Genetics, Environmental Study, Economic importance of animals and plants, Blood groups, Human health and diseases.
- Mathematics: Square, Cube, Square root, Cube root of whole numbers (up to 6 digits) by Vedic method, Factorization, Linear equations, Logarithms, Ratio-proportion, Percentage, Profit-loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Statistics.
Paper-II: General Hindi and English
- General Hindi: Sandhi, Samas, Prefixes, Suffixes, Synonyms, Antonyms, One-word substitution, Sentence and word purification, Verbs, Idioms and proverbs, Official letter knowledge, Translation of sentences.
- General English: Tenses/Sequence of Tenses, Voice (Active/Passive), Narration (Direct/Indirect), Transformation of Sentences, Use of Articles and Determiners, Prepositions, Translation of sentences, Correction of sentences, Glossary of official terms, Letter writing.

- After OTR, log in and select the Recruitment Portal.
