UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION NOTICE - Civil Services (Main) Examination 2025 Result for Personality Test

On the basis of the results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2025 (held from 22nd August 2025 to 31st August 2025), candidates have qualified for the Personality Test (Interview) for selection to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group ‘A' and Group 'B').

Provisional Candidature and Required Documents

Candidature is provisional, subject to candidates being found eligible. Candidates must produce original certificates at the time of their Personality Test (Interview) to support eligibility/reservation claims (viz. age, educational qualifications, community, economically weaker section, Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), TA Form, etc.). Candidates seeking reservation/relaxation benefits must have original certificates issued by the closing date of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2025, i.e., 21.02.2025.

Personality Test (Interview) Details

Dates for Personality Tests (Interviews) will be notified later and will be held at the Office of the Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069. The schedule will be made available in due course. E-Summon Letters for Personality Tests (Interviews) will be downloadable from the Commission's Websites: https://www.upsc.gov.in and https://www.upsconline.gov.in. Candidates unable to download e-Summon Letters should contact the Commission immediately via letter, Phone Nos. 011-23385271, 011-23381125, 011-23387310 (Fax), 011-23384472 or email on csm-upsc@nic.in. No paper Summon Letters will be issued.

No Change Requests

No request for change in the date and time of the Personality Test (Interview) will ordinarily be entertained.

Mandatory Online Form Submission/Update

All candidates qualified for the Personality Test (Interview) are mandatorily required to fill/update requisite field(s) online. This includes details of educational qualification status (whether appearing/appeared) along with proof of passing the qualifying Examination. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of candidature and no e-summon letter will be issued.

Candidates also need to update other details (where applicable) such as Correspondence/Permanent Postal Address, Higher Educational Qualification, Achievement in different fields, Employment Details/Service Experience, details of Service allocated from previous Civil Services Examinations, Marital Status, PwBD Recommendation details, Parental Details, Debarment information, Earlier Examination details, Attempt Information, OBC/EWS Annexure, and socio-economic questionnaire.

Even if there is no information to update, candidates who have previously uploaded documents must login and submit after verifying details to generate the e-summon letter. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the Commission's website for updates.

Civil Services Examination, 2025 Rules - Provisions

Rule 13(3) provides a 15-day window from the declaration of the written part result of Civil Services (Main) Examination for candidates to update details/educational qualification status and upload proof of passing the qualifying examination. Failure to comply will lead to disqualification from the Personality Test/Interview. This window also allows updates for Correspondence/Permanent Postal Address, Higher Educational Qualification, Achievements, Employment Details/Service Experience, details of Service allocated from earlier/previous CSEs, and Service and Cadre Preference for the current examination. Updated details are final, and no further change requests will be entertained.

Service and Cadre Preferences

Candidates must mandatorily indicate preferences only for Services participating in the CSE-2025 for which they wish to be allocated. Failure to indicate preferences will result in not being considered for Service Allocation. Candidates wishing to be considered for IAS or IPS must indicate their cadre preference when asked by the Commission. Candidates are advised to indicate preferences carefully and to periodically visit DoPT's websites https://dopt.gov.in or https://cseplus.nic.in for information on Service Allocation, Cadre allotment, etc. No change in preference for Services and Cadre (for IAS/IPS) once submitted will be permitted, except as per Rule 13(3). Details for Cadre Preference will be sought in due course.

Online Submission Period

All candidates must fill up/update and submit the requisite details ONLINE only on the Union Public Service Commission Website (https://upsconline.gov.in) during the period from 13th November, 2025 to 27th November, 2025 till 6:00 P.M., failing which no further correspondence will be entertained.

Attestation Form

All qualified candidates are required to fill up and submit the Attestation Form online, which will be available on the Website of the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T) https://cseplus.nic.in/Account/Login from the date of commencement of Personality Tests (Interviews) till their conclusion. Mark Sheets and Withheld Results

Marks sheets of all candidates will be uploaded on the Commission's Website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result (after conducting Personality Tests/Interview) and will remain available for 30 days. The result of three (03) candidates has been kept withheld in light of various Court case(s) pending.
