Engagement of Retired Bank Officials on Contract Basis

Introduction

State Bank of India (SBI) invites online applications from Indian citizens for the engagement of retired officials from SBI, other Public Sector Banks (PSBs), and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) for various posts on a contractual basis. The advertisement number is CRPD/RS/2025-26/23.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 31.01.2026)

  • Minimum Age: 60 years
  • Maximum Age: 63 years
  • Candidates must have been born not earlier than 01.02.1963 and not later than 31.01.1966 (both days inclusive).
  • No age relaxation is available for reserved category candidates.

Educational Qualification & Experience

  • FLC Counsellors: Retired Officers of SBI/other PSBs/RRBs in Scale-I and up to Scale-IV. Retired clerical staff from SBI only may be considered if the required number of officers are not available.
  • FLC Directors: Retired Officers of SBI/other PSBs/RRBs in Scale-III & IV.
  • Essential Qualifications: Proficiency in the local language (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) and working knowledge of computers are essential for all posts. The retired officer should possess a Smart Mobile Phone.

Period of Contract

  • The contract period will be for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years, or until the officer/employee attains the age of 65, whichever is earlier.
  • The initial contract may be for a period of 2 years, with a possible renewal for one year based on performance.

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on qualifications and experience.
  2. Interview: The interview will carry 100 marks. The qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.
  3. Merit List: A circle-wise and category-wise merit list will be prepared based on the scores obtained in the interview.
