Eligibility Criteria

Essential Educational Qualification

1. Passed Matriculation (10th) from a recognized Board/equivalent institution.
2. Passed ITI examination in Machinist / Fitter / Wireman / Electrician trade from a recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI). Note: Qualifications obtained through distance education in the specified trades will not be considered.

Age Limit (as on 2025-08-01)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age:
  • Unreserved (Male): 37 years
  • Unreserved (Female): 40 years
  • Backward Class / Extremely Backward Class (Male/Female): 40 years
  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (Male/Female): 42 years
• Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for Persons with Disabilities (10 years) and government employees of Bihar (5 years of continuous service).

Application Fee

• Application Fee: ₹100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) for all candidates.
• Payment Mode: Online only through Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, or UPI.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a competitive examination.

Examination Details

• Mode of Exam: Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Total Marks: 100
• Total Questions: 100 (Multiple Choice Questions)
• Duration: 2 hours
• Syllabus:
  • ITI Trades (Machinist, Fitter, Wireman, Electrician): 15 questions each (Total 60)
  • Mathematics (Matric BSEB level): 20 questions
  • General Knowledge: 20 questions
• Language: The question paper will be in both Hindi and English.
• Negative Marking: 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Normalization: The normalization process will be applied to calculate the final scores as the exam may be conducted in multiple shifts.

Minimum Qualifying Marks in Written Test

• General Category: 40%
• Backward Class: 36.5%
• Extremely Backward Class: 34%
• SC/ST/Women/PwD: 32%

Important Instructions

• Reservation benefits are applicable only to permanent residents of Bihar.
• Candidates must upload all necessary documents (Matriculation certificate, ITI certificate, Caste certificate, Domicile, Disability certificate, etc.) during the online application process. All certificates must be issued on or before the application closing date of 2026-01-12.
