Annual General Transfers 2026 of The District Judges

On the recommendations received from the Hon'ble Committee and by the order of the Hon'ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Bombay, the proposed list of transfers of Judicial Officers is being published.

The document provides a comprehensive list of 167 Judicial Officers, detailing their present and proposed postings.

Important Instructions and Notes:

  1. A detailed notification of the postings will follow.
  2. All officers under orders of Annual General Transfers should leave the charge of their present posting in consultation with the Principal District Judges of their respective stations during the vacation period. They are expected to take charge at their new station on the date of re-opening before office hours.
  3. The courts will reopen after vacation on 8th June, 2026.
  4. Judicial Officers can forward any representation against their posting through the link provided on the Judicial Officer's Portal on the official website of Bombay High Court from 23.02.2026 to 06.03.2026. The link will be disabled thereafter.
  5. Officers under transfer are directed to finish judgments in all concluded hearings and endeavour to dispose of all part-heard cases before handing over charge.
  6. (*) Judicial Officers not due for transfer and who are transferred on their request are not entitled to Transfer Grants/Allowances.
  7. (#) Judicial Officers transferred and posted as Registrar, National Green Tribunal / Member, Industrial Court / Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal / Joint Charity Commissioner shall leave the charge in consultation with the High Court.
