Government of India, Ministry of Railways, through the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), invites ONLINE applications from eligible Indian Nationals for recruitment to various posts in Level-1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. Candidates must possess the prescribed educational/technical qualifications from a recognized Board/Institute/University as on the closing date of application (02.03.2026). The specific qualification for each post is detailed in Annexure-A. Candidates awaiting final results of the prescribed qualifications are NOT eligible to apply. As per Annexure-A, the required qualification is 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
The age limit is 18 to 33 years as on 01.01.2026. Relaxations in the upper age limit are applicable for various categories as per government norms:

Note: Fee payment must be made online via internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI. The refund will be credited to the bank account seeded with the candidate's Aadhaar number.

The CBT will be a single-stage examination with objective-type multiple-choice questions. There will be negative marking of 1/3rd of the marks for each wrong answer.

Minimum qualifying percentage: UR & EWS: 40%, OBC(NCL), SC, ST: 30%. These may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates.
Candidates shortlisted based on CBT merit will be called for PET, which is mandatory and qualifying in nature.

Exemptions: PwBD, Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAA), and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET.
