Key Information

  • The initial list of candidates shortlisted for the 2nd round of Document Verification was published on the official website of RRB, Ranchi on 23.09.2025.
  • Candidates with specific Roll Numbers (listed in Annexure, not included here as per instructions) are provisionally shortlisted for Document Verification, Genuineness of Candidature, and Medical Examination.
  • Candidates must report as per the scheduled date and time to the office of Railway Recruitment Board, Railway Offices Complex, Chutia, Ranchi- 834001.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • SMS/email alerts are being sent to registered mobile/email IDs for downloading e-call letters from the link provided on RRB's website.
  • Candidates must carefully read the detailed instructions in the DV e-call letter and bring all required original certificates/documents.
  • All original documents, along with two sets of A4 size photocopies, as detailed in the CEN and e-call letter, must be produced.
  • After DV, candidates will be sent for Medical Examination at nominated Railway Hospitals within RRB, Ranchi's jurisdiction.
  • Candidates should be prepared to stay for four to five days for the Medical Examination.
  • A prescribed medical fee of Rs. 24/- must be paid. No other charges are to be paid to the Hospitals/Health Unit for the medical examination. In rare cases requiring investigations like CT Scan, Ultra Sound, or refractive eye surgery tests, which are not available at the Railway Hospital/Health Unit, candidates may need to pay the concerned laboratory/Hospital directly.
  • Six (6) passport-size colour photographs, not more than one month old, must be brought, along with the candidate's foil of the e-call letter of CBT-1.
  • In case of variations in name/father's name spelling between the online application and original certificates/documents, candidates must submit a relevant affidavit executed before a Magistrate or Notary on required stamp papers.
  • Candidates who fail to appear on the scheduled date must appear on the block date given in the Annexure. Failure to report for DV on the scheduled or block date will result in rejection of candidature.
  • No additional time will be given for producing original certificates/affidavits on the scheduled DV date; candidature will be forfeited/cancelled.
  • Candidature is purely provisional and liable for cancellation if any inconsistency, deficiency, discrepancy, or malpractice is detected at any stage.
  • Shortlisting for DV/Medical Examination does not guarantee appointment in the Railways.
  • RRB reserves the right to rectify any inadvertent errors or typographical mistakes.

General Advice

  • Important: Beware of touts who promise selection for illegal consideration. RRB exams are fully computerized, and selection is based solely on merit. Visit the official RRB website for regular updates.
  • Important Instruction: Candidates must upload clear images of all documents, a colour scanned copy of their passport-size photograph, and signature on the RRB Document Verification portal (https://oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv/) following the instructions. The portal will be active for uploading from 10 days prior to the DV date and will close on the DV date.
