Proforma for Exemption Certificate for PwBD Candidates

This notice pertains to CEN 05/2024 for the recruitment of various Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Graduate Posts. It provides information regarding the exemption certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates shortlisted for the Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST).

Exemption Criteria for CBTST

As per para 13.4 of CEN 05/2024, shortlisted PwBD candidates who have a permanent disability of not less than 40% due to Blindness/Low vision, Cerebral Palsy, or Locomotor Disability may be exempted from the CBTST.

To avail this exemption, candidates must upload a scanned copy of the Typing Skill Test exemption certificate. This certificate must be issued by a Competent Medical Board (constituted by Central or State Government) in the format prescribed in Annexure V(E) of CEN 05/2024.

Uploading the Exemption Certificate

PwBD candidates seeking exemption must upload the scanned copy of their Typing Skill Test exemption certificate.

A help desk link for uploading the scanned copy will be provided on the websites of the respective Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). Candidates are advised to upload their valid Medical certificate through the grievance/helpdesk portal using their candidate login during the specified window: 2025-12-19 to 2025-12-26 (up to 18:00 hrs.). The proforma for the Typing Skill Test exemption certificate (Annexure V(E)) is enclosed with this notice and also available.

Important Instructions

  • Candidates who are unable to upload the certificates may report at the allotted CBTST venue along with the Original Typing Skill Test exemption certificate for seeking exemption.
  • The original Typing Skill Test exemption certificate must be produced during Document Verification. Failure to do so will result in the summary rejection of the candidature.
  • Candidates are advised to refer only to the official websites of RRBs for the latest updates on the recruitment process and should not be misled by unauthenticated sources.
  • Candidates are warned against touts making false promises of appointment for illegal consideration. RRB selections are based on Computer Based Test (CBT) and merit alone.
