Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates who wish to represent against their rejection or submit deficient documents based on the shortlisting criteria may do so by emailing to (SOSPC2.UPSC@NIC.IN) by 04.04.2026. The subject of the email should be "05 ALA_ROLL.NO.". Representations received after this date will not be considered. Non-submission of deficient documents may lead to the cancellation of candidature.

Essential Qualifications

Option 1:

• (i) Degree in law from a recognized University or Institute; and
• (ii) Three years' experience at bar dealing with criminal laws or fiscal laws.

OR

Option 2:

• (i) Master's Degree in law from a recognized University or Institute; and
• (ii) One year experience at bar dealing with criminal laws or fiscal laws.

Shortlisting Modalities

• OBC candidates have been considered Eligible subject to an undertaking to be collected at the time of the Interview.
• The Birth Certificate has not been considered a valid proof of date of birth.

Interview Shortlist

15 candidates have been shortlisted for the interview. A further 9 candidates have been provisionally shortlisted, subject to the furnishing of deficient documents.

Conditions for Provisionally Shortlisted Candidates

Candidates with the following condition codes must submit the required documents:

• Code C: Degree/Master's Degree in Law OR Provisional Degree/Master's Degree in Law with all marksheets, as on the closing date (12.06.2025).
• Code E: Affidavit for Self name discrepancy in ORA and other documents.
• Code F: Affidavit for Father's name discrepancy in ORA and other documents.
• Code H: Experience Certificate in the proper format indicating Three Years' or One Year's experience at the bar dealing with criminal laws or fiscal laws as on the closing date (12.06.2025).

Important Notes

1. Failure to submit requisite Community Certificates to verify reservation claims will lead to the consideration of candidature under the GENERAL Category.
2. Non-submission of deficient documents by Provisionally Shortlisted candidates may lead to the cancellation of their candidatures.
