Counseling Process

Choice Filling

Candidates will fill their choices of institutions and courses using their login ID and password. An unlimited number of choices can be filled and reordered. Choices must be locked by the candidate using their password. Once locked, choices for that round cannot be changed.

Seat Allotment

Seat allotment will be based on merit, choices filled, reservation, and seat availability.

Freeze and Float Options (For Round 1 & 2)

After seat allotment in the first and second rounds, candidates must choose either the Freeze or Float option.

  • Freeze: Candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seat must choose the 'Freeze' option. They need to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee of ₹3250 online and then report to their chosen help center for document verification. After verification, they must report to the allotted institute to pay the remaining admission fee.
  • Float: Candidates who wish to be considered for a better seat in the next round should choose the 'Float' option. They must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee of ₹3250 online. Their current seat will be reserved until they are allotted a new one. In the third round, any allotted seat will be automatically considered 'Freeze'.

Important: Choosing Freeze or Float is mandatory after seat allotment in rounds 1 and 2. Failure to choose an option or pay the fee will result in the candidate being excluded from the counseling process up to the third round.

Subsequent Rounds

  • Third Round: All allotments in the third round will be automatically considered 'Freeze'.
  • Fourth & Fifth Rounds: Candidates who were successful in JEECUP-2025 but did not get admission up to the third round, and all candidates from other states who appeared in the entrance exam, are eligible. Candidates can fill unlimited choices. Seat allotment is followed by mandatory fee payment and document verification.

Document Verification

From the first to the fifth round, candidates must personally visit their chosen help center for document verification with all original documents, a set of self-attested photocopies, and two photographs. If discrepancies are found:

  • If a candidate does not meet the minimum eligibility criteria (e.g., age less than 14 years as of 01.07.2025), their allotted seat will be canceled, and they will be barred from further counseling for the year.
  • If there is an issue with a reservation certificate, the category will be changed as per rules with the candidate's consent, and they will be considered for subsequent rounds with the revised category. The current allotment will be canceled.

Withdrawal from Counseling Process

Candidates not willing to take admission in the academic year 2025-26 can withdraw their allotted seat before the final round of counseling and get a refund of the seat acceptance fee (₹3000). Such candidates will not be eligible for admission in any course for the current session. The refund will be processed to the candidate's/parent's bank account after the counseling process concludes.
