Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 21.02.2026)
- Minimum Age: 25 years
- Maximum Age: 45 years
- No age relaxation will be provided to any categories.
Essential Qualifications
For English Teacher (Post Code-26002):
- M.A English with 50% marks in Graduation with B.Ed. and teaching of English as a compulsory subject in B.Ed. (B.A B.Ed./B.Com. B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed. will be eligible).
- The applicant must have passed Graduation (including B.Ed.) with a minimum of 50% marks AND 55% marks in English at Graduation level.
- For SC/ST/OBC candidates: At least 45% marks in Graduation (and 45% marks in B.Ed) AND 50% marks in English at Graduation level.
For Mathematics Teacher (Post Code-26003):
- M.A/M.Sc. Mathematics with 50% marks in Graduation with B.Ed and teaching of Mathematics as a compulsory subject in B.Ed. (B.A-B.Ed B.Com-B.Ed B.Sc-B.Ed will be eligible).
- The applicant must have passed Graduation (including B.Ed.) with a minimum of 50% marks AND 55% marks in Mathematics subject at Graduation level.
- For SC/ST/OBC candidates: At least 45% marks in Graduation (and 45% marks in B.Ed) AND 50% marks in Mathematics at Graduation level.
Note: Candidates must have passed Matriculation and 10+2 from any school/institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. This condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.
Mode of Selection
- The selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) or a written screening test.
- The test will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying 1 mark.
- Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes (1 ½ hours).
Syllabus
- Part i): Questions related to the subject/field up to the level of the prescribed essential qualification.
- Part ii): General Knowledge including General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh, Current Affairs, Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi of Matric Standard.

Mode of Payment: Online Payment Gateway using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
General Instructions
- Candidates must register on the One Time Registration (OTR) portal before filling the application.
- Applications must be submitted online only. No offline forms will be accepted.
- Candidates are advised to apply well in advance to avoid a last-minute rush.
- The downloaded copy of the online application form with original certificates and self-attested photocopies must be produced at the time of document verification.
- The date for determining eligibility for essential qualifications and experience is the closing date of application submission, i.e., 21.02.2026.
- Candidates must provide a working mobile number and email ID for communication.
