Application Fee

  • General / EWS / Other Backward Class (OBC): ₹500
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST): ₹400

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed 12th standard (Intermediate) or equivalent from a board established by law in India.
  • Candidates who have appeared or are appearing for the qualifying examination are not eligible.

2. Preferential Qualification: Preference will be given to candidates holding:

  • 'O' level certificate in computer from DOEACC / NIELIT Society.
  • Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years.
  • Obtained 'B' certificate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

3. Age Limit (as on 01-07-2025):

  • Male Candidates: Must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 22 years. (i.e., born between July 2, 2003, and July 1, 2007).
  • Female Candidates: Must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years. (i.e., born between July 2, 2000, and July 1, 2007).
  • Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC, ST, OBC, and other categories as per government rules (only for residents of Uttar Pradesh).

Recruitment Process

The selection process will consist of the following stages:

  1. Offline Written Examination: An objective-type written test.
  2. Document Verification & Physical Standard Test (PST).
  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Written Examination Details

  • Mode: Offline (OMR based).
  • Total Marks: 300.
  • Total Questions: 150.
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes).
  • Marking Scheme: +2 marks for each correct answer. Negative marking details will be as per board rules.
  • Subjects:
    1. General Knowledge
    2. General Hindi
    3. Numerical & Mental Ability
    4. Mental Aptitude, IQ & Reasoning Ability
  • A normalization process will be applied if the exam is conducted in multiple shifts.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

For Male Candidates:

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • Male Candidates: 4.8 km run to be completed within 25 minutes.
  • Female Candidates: 2.4 km run to be completed within 14 minutes. Candidates who fail to complete the run within the stipulated time will be disqualified.

How to Apply

  • Candidates must apply online through the official website: www.uppbpb.gov.in.
  • The application process involves a mandatory One Time Registration (OTR).
  • Candidates are advised to upload necessary documents via DigiLocker where available.
  • A real-time (live) photograph will be captured during the application process.
  • Scanned signature as per the specified format needs to be uploaded.
