Applications are invited from eligible candidates for 572 posts of “Office Attendant" in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The selection process will involve a competitive examination (Online Test) followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

Eligibility Criteria

Age (as on 01/01/2026)

  • Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years of age.
  • Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/01/2001 and not later than 01/01/2008 (both days inclusive).

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit

Candidates with work experience in RBI To the extent of experience, subject to a maximum of 3 years.

Educational Qualifications (as on 01/01/2026)

  • A candidate should have passed 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) from the concerned State/UT coming under the Regional Jurisdiction of the Recruiting Office to which they are applying.
  • The candidate must be an undergraduate as on 01/01/2026. Graduates and candidates possessing higher qualifications are not eligible to apply.
  • Candidates should be proficient in the language (read, write, speak, and understand) of the State/UT falling under that recruiting office.

Scheme of Selection

Selection will be through an Online Test and a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

Online Test (Multiple Choice)

  • Total Time: 90 minutes (Composite Time)
  • Negative Marking: 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

Candidates shortlisted from the online test will undergo an LPT, which will be of a qualifying nature. Candidates not proficient in the Official/Local Language will be disqualified.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ₹24,250/- per month. At present, the initial Monthly Gross Emoluments (without HRA) for Office Attendants will be approximately ₹46,029/- per month. HRA of 15% of Pay will be paid additionally if not staying in Bank's accommodation.
