The organization is a premier multi-disciplinary consultancy in transport, infrastructure, and related technologies.

Vacancy Details and Regions
All 600 vacancies (VC Nos.) are specific to a particular REGION and DISCIPLINE. Candidates will be considered for posting under the following regions:

The total number of vacancies across all disciplines and regions is 600. The posts are for Senior Technical Assistant in various disciplines including Civil (465 vacancies), Electrical (27 vacancies), S&T (8 vacancies), Mechanical (65 vacancies), Metallurgy (13 vacancies), Chemical (11 vacancies), and Chemistry (11 vacancies).
Minimum Educational Qualification & Experience
- Posts: Senior Technical Assistant (Civil, Electrical, S&T, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Chemical, Chemistry).
- Educational Qualification: Full-time Diploma in the respective Engineering discipline (Civil, Electrical/Electrical & Electronics, Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Control/Electronics & Instrumentation/Electrical & Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical & Electronics, Metallurgy, Chemical/Petrochemical/Chemical Technology/Petrochemical Technology/Plastic Engineering Technology/Food/Textile/Leather) or Full-time B.Sc. in Chemistry.
- Candidates possessing higher qualifications (Degree / PG Degree) in the same discipline are also eligible.
- Domain of Experience: Relevant field of Engineering/Chemistry.
- Minimum Post Qualification Work Experience: 02 Years.
- The period of training / internship / teaching / research fellowship shall NOT be counted as a part of work experience.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age Limit for Senior Technical Assistant: 40 years.
- Age, experience, and all other eligibility criteria shall be reckoned as on the last date of submission of the application (2025-11-12).
Educational Qualification & Experience Criteria
- Candidates belonging to General/EWS category applying against unreserved posts should have a minimum of 50% marks in the Minimum Educational Qualification. Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD) need at least 45% marks.
- Degree/Diploma must be recognized by AICTE/BTE from a University incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature or other recognized Educational Institutions.
- Sections A & B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) are treated as equivalent to a Degree by the Govt. of India and recognized by AICTE.
- If the certificate/marksheet does not indicate the percentage, the applicant must provide a conversion formula. Minimum 5 on a 10-point scale will be considered 50%.
Relaxations & Concessions
- Reservation, relaxation, and concessions will be provided to EWS/SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD/Ex-SM/J&K Domicile candidates against reserved posts as per extant Govt. orders.
- Upper age limit relaxation is provided to OBC (NCL)/SC/ST candidates against reserved posts.
- PWD candidates suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant disability are eligible for a 10-year age relaxation.
- Physical Requirements and Functional Classifications for various disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgy & Chemistry, Signal & Telecommunication (S&T), Electrical) are detailed in the advertisement. Persons with Disabilities can apply even if no vacancies are specifically reserved for them and will be considered by general standard of merit.
Selection Process
Phase I: Written Test
- The written test carries 100% weightage.
- The syllabus, common for all vacancies, is provided in Annexure A of the advertisement.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR/EWS, and 45% for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD against reserved posts.
- The test will consist of 125 objective type questions, carrying one mark each, for a duration of 2.5 hours. There will be NO negative marking.
- PWD candidates are eligible for a compensatory time of 50 minutes.
Phase II: Document Scrutiny
- Based on the written test result, documents uploaded by candidates during the online application will be scrutinized by RITES Ltd.
- Only information filled in the Online Application Form will be considered for scrutiny. No additional information will be allowed at a later stage.
- Candidates must upload all necessary documents substantiating their claim. The candidature is liable to be CANCELLED if necessary documents are not uploaded.
- Documents to be uploaded: High School Certificate (proof of Date of Birth), Certificates of Academic & Professional qualifications along with mark sheets of all semesters/years, Percentage Conversion Document, EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD Certificate (in prescribed format by Govt. of India), Proof of Identity & Address (Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, Aadhaar Card etc.), PAN Card, Proof of each period of experience (in a single PDF, chronological order, including offer letter, joining order, relieving letter, service certificate, pay slips etc.), Any other required document.
Nature & Period of Engagement
- Provisional shortlisting will be based on the written test and document scrutiny. Offers will be issued based on project/company requirements or client approval.
- Empanelment against a vacancy does NOT guarantee selection or right to the job.
- The appointment is purely on a contract basis, initially for one year, extendable until assignment completion, subject to mutual consent & satisfactory performance.
- Engagement is subject to medical fitness as per RITES Rules and Standards.
Remuneration
For Senior Technical Assistant:
- Basic Pay (in INR. pm): 16,338
- Gross Monthly CTC (in INR.): 29,735
- Annual CTC (in INR. Approx.): 3,56,819
- Remuneration is indicative and depends on the place of posting and other terms & conditions.

- Experience certificates from previous employers and proof of continuity for current employment (joining letter, last months' salary slips, or Form 16) must be submitted at document verification.
- SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates must furnish Caste Certificates from competent authorities as per Annexure I and II, valid as on the last date of application. OBC-NCL candidates also need to submit a declaration (Annexure III) stating they do not belong to the Creamy Layer.
- The OBC-NCL certificate should not be older than one year. EWS Certificate (valid for FY 2025-26) must be as per Govt. of India format and valid as on the last date of application.
- Hard copies of documents are not to be sent. Original testimonials along with one self-attested copy must be produced at the time of selection.
