Essential Qualifications

  • Educational:

    • Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized University or Institute; OR
    • Integrated Bachelor's degree in Law (Five Years) from a recognized University or Institute; OR
    • Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute and Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
  • Desirable:

    • One year experience in the field of Corporate Law.
    • Conversant with the tools and techniques of collection of evidence or recording of statements and presentation of evidence in proceedings.

Candidates who wish to represent against their rejection or submit deficient documents must email their representation with substantive grounds to SOSPC2.UPSC@NIC.IN by 04.04.2026. The subject line of the email must be "03 AD CL_ROLL.NO". Mails received after the specified date will not be opened. Non-submission of deficient documents may lead to the cancellation of candidature.

Conditions for Provisionally Shortlisted Candidates

  • Condition Code A: Submit Matriculation Certificate/Marksheet showing Date of Birth.
  • Condition Code C: Submit Degree OR Provisional Degree with all Marksheets for the required educational qualification as on the closing date (i.e., 03.07.2025).

Important Notes

  • The Birth Certificate is not considered a valid proof of date of birth.
  • Failure to submit requisite Community Certificates for reservation claims will result in the candidate being considered under the GENERAL category.
  • Non-submission of required documents by provisionally shortlisted candidates may lead to the cancellation of their candidature.
