RRB NTPC CEN 05/2024: Proforma for Exemption Certificate for PwBD Candidates for Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST)

Introduction

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released a notification regarding the proforma for the exemption certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates shortlisted for the Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) under CEN 05/2024 for various NTPC Graduate Posts.

  • Certificate Upload Window: 19th December, 2025 to 26th December, 2025 (up to 18:00 hrs)

Exemption from CBTST for PwBD Candidates

As per para 13.4 of CEN 05/2024, shortlisted PwBD candidates with a permanent disability of not less than 40% due to Blindness/Low Vision, Cerebral Palsy, or Locomotor Disability may be exempted from the CBTST. To avail this exemption, candidates must upload a scanned copy of the Typing Skill Test exemption certificate.

Certificate Requirements

  • The certificate must be issued by a Competent Medical Board (constituted by the Central or State Government).
  • The format of the certificate must be as prescribed in Annexure V(E) of CEN 05/2024.

Procedure for Uploading the Exemption Certificate

Shortlisted PwBD candidates seeking exemption must upload the scanned copy of their valid Medical certificate through the grievance/helpdesk portal available on the websites of their respective RRBs. The portal can be accessed using the candidate login.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  1. Candidates who are unable to upload the certificate online may report to their allotted CBTST venue with the original Typing Skill Test exemption certificate to seek exemption.
  2. The same original certificate must be produced during Document Verification. Failure to do so will result in the summary rejection of the candidature.
  3. Candidates are advised to rely only on the official websites of the RRBs for all updates and not be misled by unauthenticated sources.
  4. Beware of touts promising jobs. RRB selections are based strictly on merit in the Computer Based Tests (CBT).
