Essential Qualifications
Candidates must possess a degree of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Commerce or an equivalent degree from a recognised University as on the closing date of 26.02.2026.

- For DSP: 18 to 27 years.
- For other posts: 18 to 42 years.
Age Relaxation:
- Schedules Castes of Haryana: 5 years
- Backward Classes of Haryana: 5 years
- Disabled persons (PwBD): 5 years (+5 years if belonging to S/Castes, S/Tribe, B/Classes, EWS category, subject to a maximum of 52 years).
- Wife of military personnel disabled in service: 5 years
- Widowed or legally divorced woman: 5 years
- Judicially separated woman (residing separately for over two years): 5 years
- Unmarried woman: 5 years
- Ex-serviceman: Relaxation to the extent of military service plus three years.
- Other relaxations as per government norms.

How to Apply
- Candidates must apply online through the official website: http://hpsc.gov.in.
- The application process involves: (i) Registration, (ii) Filling up particulars, (iii) Payment of fee, and (iv) Final submission of the signed application form.
- After making payment, the candidate must take a printout of the application form, sign it, and upload the scanned copy online.
- Failure to upload the signed copy of the application form will lead to automatic rejection of the candidature.
Scheme of Examination
1. Preliminary Examination (For screening only) - Total 200 Marks
- Paper-I: General Studies (100 Marks)
- Paper-II: Civil Services Aptitude Test (100 Marks)
- Both papers will be of objective type (MCQ) with a duration of two hours each.
- There will be a negative marking of one-fourth (0.25) for each wrong answer.
- Paper-II is a qualifying paper with a minimum of 33% marks.
2. Main Written Examination - Total 600 Marks
- Paper-I: English (including English Essay) - 100 Marks
- Paper-II: Hindi (including Hindi Essay, in Devnagri Script) - 100 Marks
- Paper-III: General Studies-I - 100 Marks
- Paper-IV: General Studies-II - 100 Marks
- Paper-V: General Studies-III - 100 Marks
- Paper-VI: General Studies-IV - 100 Marks
- All papers are of conventional (essay) type with a duration of three hours each.
3. Personality Test / Viva-voce - 75 Marks
Candidates three times the number of advertised posts will be called for the Personality Test based on their merit in the Main Written Examination.
