The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released a notification inviting online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of 1815 posts of Constable (Executive Police) Divisional Cadre in the Home Department, Jammu and Kashmir.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Domicile: Candidates must be Domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on or before the application cut-off date (17.02.2026).

2. Educational Qualification: The minimum academic qualification required is Matriculation.

Application Fee

• For SC, ST-1, ST-2, and EWS categories: Rs. 600/-
• For all other categories: Rs. 700/-

Fee must be paid online via Net Banking, Credit, or Debit cards.

Selection Process

The selection process will comprise the following stages:

1. Written Test: An objective-type examination. Candidates with NCC Certificates will be awarded bonus marks.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Qualifying in nature.
3. Physical Endurance Test (PET): Qualifying in nature.

Physical Standards and Endurance Test

Physical Standard Test (PST)

• For Males:
  • Height: 5'-6" (minimum)
  • Chest Girth: 32" (unexpanded)
  • Chest Girth: 33 ½" (expanded)
• For Females:
  • Height: 5'-2" (minimum) Note: Minimum height is relaxable by 2" for candidates belonging to the Gorkha Community/Bot Tribe.

Physical Endurance Test (PET)

• For Male Candidates:
  • Long Race: 1600 meters in 6 ½ minutes (Six minutes thirty seconds)
  • Pushups: 20 (one cycle of up and down)
• For Female Candidates:
  • Long Race: 1000 meters in 6 ½ minutes (Six minutes thirty seconds)
  • Shot Put (4Kgs): 14 ½ feet in three attempts.
