This notification from the Railway Recruitment Board, Bilaspur, announces the list of candidates declared medically unfit for Level-2 posts under Centralized Employment Notice (CEN) No. 02/2024 (Technician -III) and provides an opportunity to appeal for a re-medical examination.

Background

Candidates for Level-2 posts under CEN No. 02/2024 (Technician -III) underwent document verification on 2025-09-11 and during a block date of 2025-09-24. Subsequently, they were sent to divisional railway hospitals for medical examination in the prescribed medical categories. A list of candidates declared unfit for the B-1 medical standard has now been published. One such entry lists a candidate for Level 2 with Roll No 302244262130683 declared as Medical Fitness C-1.

Appeal for Re-medical Examination

Candidates who were sent for medical examination under B-1 and lower medical categories and were declared fit in a medical category lower than B-1 are eligible to appeal for a re-medical examination.

  • Submission Deadline: Applications for appeal must be submitted in the specified formats (Annexure-I and Annexure-II) by 2025-11-07 at the Railway Recruitment Board, Bilaspur office.
  • Ineligibility: Candidates who were absent from their initial medical examination or were discharged are not eligible to submit an appeal.
  • Re-examination Process: Appeals received will be considered, and candidates will undergo re-examination by a medical board, subject to the approval of the Principal Chief Medical Director, South East Central Railway, Bilaspur.
  • Appeal Fee: Candidates permitted for re-medical examination must submit a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/-. This Demand Draft should be payable to "PFA/SECR/Bilaspur" at Bilaspur, in favour of the Principal Chief Medical Director, South East Central Railway, Bilaspur.

Annexure-I: Appeal for Remedical Examination

This annexure outlines the proforma for the appeal against unfitness declared by divisional Railway hospitals for various Level-2 posts in Group 'C' category in Railway under CEN No. 02/2024 (Technician).

The applicant must provide personal details, Roll Number, and details of the document verification and medical examination dates. The appeal states that the candidate was declared unfit in a specific medical standard and acknowledges that normally no further appeal would lie after examination by a 3-member medical board. The candidate humbly requests a re-medical examination and agrees to submit the Rs. 1000/- fee through Demand Draft.

Annexure-II: Proforma of Medical Certificate

This annexure is a medical certificate proforma to be filled by a Government or Private Specialist Doctor.

It requires details such as:

  • Name of the candidate, Father's name.
  • Medical category and post for which examination was done.
  • Doctor's Certification: The doctor certifies that the examination was conducted with full knowledge of the candidate's prior rejection, the candidate was personally examined after verifying photograph, signature, and identification marks, necessary investigations were done, and reports are enclosed. It also includes a section for vision testing using Landolt's split rings as per Indian Railways guidelines, if applicable.
  • Note: If unfit due to defective vision, vision must be tested by Landolt's split rings.
  • Doctor's Opinion: Space is provided for the certifying doctor's opinion, along with sections for the candidate's photograph (half-signed), candidate's signature, identification marks, and the certifying doctor's signature, name, specialty, registration number, date of issue, place of issue, and stamp.
