Age Relaxation for Assistant Loco Pilot Recruitment

The Government of India, Ministry of Railways, through the Railway Recruitment Boards, has issued a corrigendum to the detailed Centralized Employment Notice (CEN) 01/2024 for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot. To provide relief to candidates affected by the Covid pandemic, a one-time age relaxation of three (3) years has been granted over and above the prescribed upper age limit.

Revised Age Criteria

5.0 Age Limit (as on 01.07.2024): The revised age limit is 18-33 years.

5.2 Date of Birth Range: Candidates' date of birth must fall between the following dates (both inclusive):

Additional Conditions

• If a candidate is eligible for age relaxation on multiple grounds, the maximum permissible relaxation will be applied (it is not cumulative).
• SC, ST & OBC (NCL) candidates applying against unreserved (UR) vacancies will not be eligible for any age relaxation.
• Age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen (ExSM) candidates will be as per para 5.1 of the original notification.

All other terms and conditions of the detailed CEN 01/2024 remain unchanged.

Note: Candidates eligible under the relaxed age criteria can submit their applications from 31.01.2024, 12:00 PM onwards.
