Indian Navy Agniveer (SSR) Recruitment for 01/2027 and 02/2027 Batches

The Indian Navy invites online applications from unmarried male and unmarried female candidates for enrolment as Agniveer (SSR) for the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches.

Eligibility Conditions

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have qualified in one of the following:

  • 10+2 examination with Mathematics & Physics and at least one of these subjects: Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science from a Board of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • A three-year diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobiles/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a Central, State, or UT recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate.
  • A two-year Vocational Course with Non-vocational subjects viz, Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT with 50% marks in aggregate.

Age Criteria:

  • Agniveer 01/2027 Batch: Candidates should be born between 01 December 2004 and 31 May 2009 (both dates inclusive).
  • Agniveer 02/2027 Batch: Candidates should be born between 01 May 2005 and 31 October 2009 (both dates inclusive).

Marital Status: Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible. Candidates must remain unmarried during their entire four-year tenure.

Terms and Conditions

  • Duration of Service: The engagement period for Agniveers will be four years.
  • Pay and Allowances: A package of ₹30,000 per month with a fixed yearly increment. Risk, hardship, dress, and travel allowances will also be paid.
  • Seva Nidhi Package: Upon completion of four years, Agniveers will be paid a one-time 'Seva Nidhi' package of approximately ₹10.04 Lakhs, which will comprise their contribution plus matching contribution from the Government and interest thereon.
  • Life Insurance Cover: A non-contributory life insurance cover of ₹48 lakh.
  • Enrolment as Sailors (Regular Cadre): Up to 25% of each specific batch of Agniveers will be enrolled in the Indian Navy as regular cadre sailors based on merit and organizational requirements.

Selection Process

  • Stage I: Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET)
    • A computer-based examination with 100 objective-type questions (English, Science, Mathematics, and General Awareness).
    • Duration: 1 hour.
    • There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  • Stage II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written Examination, and Recruitment Medical
    • Candidates shortlisted from Stage I will be called for Stage II.
    • PFT Standards:
      • Male: 1.6 Km run in 6 min 30 sec, 20 Squats, 15 Push-ups, 15 Bent Knee Sit-ups.
      • Female: 1.6 Km run in 8 min, 15 Squats, 10 Push-ups, 10 Bent Knee Sit-ups.
    • Those who qualify PFT will undergo a Written Examination and a Recruitment Medical Examination.

Application Fee

An examination fee of ₹550/- plus 18% GST is to be paid online.
