Round-2 Schedule of Document Verification & Genuineness of Candidature and Medical Examination for Technician Grade I Signal (Level 5)

This notification from the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Muzaffarpur, pertains to the Round-2 Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination for candidates provisionally shortlisted for the posts of Technician Grade I Signal (Category No. 1) under CEN No. 02/2024.

Document Verification (DV) Process

  1. Shortlisted Candidates: Candidates with specified Roll Numbers (not listed here) are provisionally shortlisted for Round-2 DV and Medical Examination.
  2. e-Call Letters: SMS/email alerts are being sent to candidates' registered mobile/email IDs for downloading their e-call letters from the RRB's website.
  3. Documents Required: Candidates must produce all original documents along with two sets of A4 size photocopies, as detailed in the CEN and e-call letter.
  4. Photographs: Six (6) recent passport-size colour photographs (not more than one month old) and the Candidate's foil of the e-call letter of CBT are required.
  5. Spelling Variations: In case of spelling variations in name/father's name between the online application and original certificates, candidates must submit a relevant affidavit, executed before a Magistrate or Notary on required stamp papers, stating that the referred person in the certificate(s) is one and the same.
  6. Failure to Produce Documents: No additional time will be granted for producing original certificates/relevant affidavits on the scheduled DV date. Failure to do so will result in the candidature being forfeited/cancelled.
  7. Document Upload: Candidates are advised to upload required documents on the RRB Document Verification portal at https://oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv/. The portal will be active for uploading from 10 days prior to the DV date and will close on the DV date.

Medical Examination (ME)

  1. Schedule: The medical examination will be conducted on the next working day after DV at Railway hospitals. Candidates will be intimated about the hospital after DV completion.
  2. Medical Fee: Candidates must pay a prescribed medical fee of Rs 24/- only. No other charges are to be paid to the Hospitals/Health Unit for the ME.
  3. Special Investigations: In rare cases where investigations like CT scan, Ultra Sound, or tests for refractive eye surgery are necessary and not available at the Railway Hospital/Health Unit, candidates may need to make payments directly to the concerned laboratory/hospital.

Important Instructions & Disclaimers

  • Provisional Candidature: The candidature of all shortlisted candidates is purely provisional and is liable to be cancelled at any stage if any inconsistency, deficiency, or discrepancy is detected in the furnished information or any malpractice.
  • No Guarantee of Appointment: Mere shortlisting or calling for DV/ME does not entitle a candidate to an appointment in the Railways.
  • Rectification of Errors: RRB reserves the right to rectify any inadvertent error or typographical/printing mistake. No correspondence will be entertained regarding this.
  • Absence on DV Date: Failure to report for DV on the scheduled date will lead to rejection of candidature unless supported by documentary evidence of appearing in a University/Government examination or sickness. No other reason for absence will be considered.
  • No Fresh e-Call Letter: No fresh e-call letter will be issued for the block date.
