This notice, issued by the Office of the District Program Officer, Integrated Child Development Project, Ayodhya, announces the direct recruitment for honorarium-based Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers. The recruitment is based on Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated September 17, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
- Gender: Only female candidates are eligible.
- Educational Qualification:
- Minimum: Intermediate (12th pass) or equivalent.
- Merit will be prepared based on educational qualifications up to post-graduation.
- Age Limit (as on July 01, 2025):
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 35 years (relaxations as per government rules will apply).
- Date of birth recorded in the High School mark sheet/certificate will be considered valid.
- Residence: The applicant must be a permanent resident of the specific ward/gram sabha where the vacant post is located. A domicile certificate issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, verifiable online, will be valid.
- For Widowed Candidates: A death certificate of the husband and a copy of the family register/certificate issued by the concerned local urban body (Nagar Nikay) will be valid.
- For Divorced/Abandoned Candidates: A legal order issued by a competent court will be valid.
- Income Limit (for BPL): An income certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar, verifiable online, will be valid. The annual income limits as per Government Order No. 22/2015/2123/26-2-2015 dated September 14, 2015, are:
- Rural Areas: Up to INR 46,080
- Urban Areas: Up to INR 56,460
Application Process
- Mode of Application: Applications must be submitted online only through the departmental website

- No Offline Applications: Offline application forms or documents sent via post will not be accepted under any circumstances.
- Document Upload: All required documents must be self-attested, clear, readable, and uploaded on the portal. These include:
- Domicile Certificate
- Caste Certificate
- Income Certificate
- Widow/Divorce/Disability/Freedom Fighter Certificate (if applicable)
- Marksheet(s)
- Birth Certificate
- Recent Photograph and Signature
- Application Accuracy: Incomplete, incorrect, or applications containing forged educational documents/marks will be summarily rejected. Applicants are solely responsible for any errors. No offline corrections will be permitted.
- No Application Fee: There is no application fee for this recruitment.
Selection Process
- Method: Selection will be purely merit-based, considering educational qualifications and eligibility criteria. There will be no written examination.
- Merit Calculation:
- Percentage of marks obtained will be divided by 10 (e.g., 45% = 4.5 marks).
- Grading and CGPA will also be considered.
- Merit list will be calculated up to three decimal places.
- In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be given preference. If both marks and age are the same, the candidate with higher educational qualification will be preferred.
- Selection Committee: A district-level selection committee will be formed for urban/rural areas, comprising:
- Chairman: DM nominated Chief Development Officer or Additional District Magistrate (Senior Administrative Officer)
- Member Secretary: District Program Officer
- Members: DM nominated SC/ST District Level Officer, DM nominated OBC District Level Officer, DM nominated Group 'A' or 'B' female officer, and the concerned Child Development Project Officer.
- Document Verification:
- District officials will verify all uploaded documents.
- Physical verification may be scheduled for shortlisted candidates.
- Discrepancies must be recorded and communicated through the portal dashboard.
- Verified candidate data will be locked for final merit computation.
- Publication of Merit List: The merit list will be displayed on the Anganwadi Bharti Portal and notice boards at CDPO/DPO offices.
- Final Approval: Final selections will be approved by the district-level committee after due verification.
Reservation
- Appointments will adhere to the reservation rules for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) as per government orders.
- 50% of the Anganwadi Worker posts will first be filled by eligible Anganwadi Helpers.
- First preference for Helpers to Worker promotion: Helper from the same Gram Sabha/Ward with 5 years of regular service, minimum Intermediate qualification, and age not exceeding 50 years.
- Subsequent preference for Helpers to Worker promotion: Eligible Helpers from other Anganwadi centers in the same Gram Sabha/Ward based on merit.
- If the 50% quota is not filled at the project level, it will be filled at the district level.
- If reserved category candidates are unavailable even after repeated advertisements at the Gram Sabha/Nyaya Panchayat level, the reservation status for the entire project may be reassessed, and posts may be declared unreserved, or reservation transferred to another center.
Adjustment (Samayojan) and Service Termination
- Adjustment: Working Anganwadi Workers/Helpers who move to their in-laws' village after marriage may be adjusted to vacant posts within the district with DM's approval, considering reservation. Inter-district adjustment and inter-adjustment of two Workers/Helpers within the district are also possible under specific conditions and with DM's approval, ensuring no impact on reservation.
- Service Termination: Service may be terminated if a Worker/Helper is elected to a political post, leaves their original village after selection/marriage, or fails to perform duties properly, is unauthorizedly absent, or does not manage the center/distribute supplementary nutrition properly, subject to due process and DM's approval.
- Family Rule: Two women from the same family will not be appointed at the same Anganwadi center.
