SSC invites information from interested entities like Technology Providers, System Integrators, OEMs, Startups, and Research Institutions on technology approaches, architectures, security practices, and operational models for digital examination systems. This exercise is non-binding and aims to inform SSC's future strategy, which may include pilots or proof-of-concepts.

Objectives of this RFI

  • Understand available and emerging technologies for end-to-end digital examination delivery.
  • Assess the feasibility, scalability, security, and cost drivers of different approaches.
  • Identify multiple technology options and architectural models.
  • Build a knowledge base for SSC's future roadmap.

Scope of Exploration

Respondents can propose solutions covering areas including:

  • Examination Delivery Modes: Computer Based Test (CBT), tablet/handheld, offline-first, Secure Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD), remote proctored models, and emerging modalities.
  • Core Functional Components: Question paper encryption, candidate authentication, exam conduct controls, answer capture, evaluation, and audit trails.
  • Infrastructure and Deployment Models: Centralized vs. decentralized, cloud/on-premises/hybrid, edge-computing, and low bandwidth models.
  • Security, Privacy, and Compliance: End-to-end security, controls against impersonation/cheating, device hardening, and compliance with IT policies.
