About the Engagement

State Bank of India invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for appointment to Specialist Cadre Officers Posts on Contract Basis.

Important Instructions

  • Application is complete only upon fee payment through online mode by the last date.
  • Candidates must ensure they fulfill eligibility criteria as of the eligibility date.

  • Short-listing is provisional; original documents will be verified at interview.
  • Ineligible candidates called for interview will not be allowed to appear or receive travelling expenses.

  • All revisions/corrigendum will be hosted on the Bank's website.
  • In case of tie in final merit list, candidates will be ranked by age in descending order.

Important Information

  • Candidates who previously selected and received offer letters for Wealth Management & Premier Banking (WBPM) but did not join will be debarred for two years from applying for any post.
  • Candidates previously engaged on contract for these posts who resigned from the Bank will be debarred for two years.
  • Candidates previously engaged on contract who resigned and had a caution notice issued will be barred from all future recruitments.
  • The number of vacancies is provisional and may vary.
  • Educational qualification and relevant full-time experience must be met as on specified dates.
  • Reserved category candidates (including PwBD) can apply for UR vacancies if they meet UR eligibility criteria.

  • EWS candidates not possessing the FY2024-25 certificate should apply under "UR Category".
  • Relevant experience certificate from the employer must specifically mention experience in the related field. Without it, candidature may be cancelled.

C: Remuneration & Contract Period

  • Contract Period: 5 Years (Renewable for another 4 years at the discretion of the Bank, subject to fulfillment of conditions).
  • The contract can be terminated by giving two months' notice from either side or payment/surrender of two months' compensation.
  • Annual CTC is negotiable based on experience, current emoluments, and place of posting.
  • Variable Pay/Performance Linked Pay (PLP) is based on Performance Rating and other perks.

E: Leave

  • Proposed Officers (OECs) are entitled to 30 days of leave during the financial year, granted by the Bank for genuine reasons.

F: Notice Period

  • Contract can be terminated without reason by giving 2 months' notice or payment/surrender of 2 months' compensation.

G: Call Letter for Interview

  • Intimation/call letter will be sent by email or uploaded on Bank's website. No hard copy will be sent.

H: Selection Process

  • Selection involves shortlisting followed by one or more rounds of personal / Telephonic / Video interview and CTC negotiations.
  • Shortlisting: Merely meeting minimum qualifications and experience does not guarantee an interview call. The shortlisting committee decides parameters and adequate number of candidates. Bank's decision is final. No correspondence will be entertained.
  • Interview: Will carry 100 marks. Qualifying marks decided by Bank.
  • CTC Negotiation: Done one-by-one at the time of interview or after.
  • Merit List: Prepared in descending order of interview scores. Age used as tie-breaker for same scores.

  • Pay application fee online using Internet Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card.
  • First, scan the latest photograph and signature. Application will not be registered without these uploads.
  • Fill the application carefully. Can be saved and reopened 3 times using provisional registration number and password.
  • After final submission and fee payment, print the e-receipt and application form.
  • Application fee is INR 750/- for UR/EWS/OBC candidates; no fee for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Fee once paid is non-refundable and non-adjustable.
