General Notes on Reservation and Eligibility

  1. Backlog Vacancies: As per notification dated 17.01.2013 and 28.07.2023, reserved vacancies for SC/ST and OBC/MBC categories, if suitable candidates are not available in a recruitment year, will be carried forward for the next three recruitment years. After three years, such carried forward vacancies will be filled through the general process, but this will not affect the reservation of posts as per the roster.
  2. EWS Category: If suitable candidates are not available for reserved EWS posts, these posts will be filled through the general process as per rules.
  3. Inter-Category Transfer (Women): Vacancies reserved for widows or divorcees may be interchanged. If sufficient candidates are not available, the vacancies will be filled by other women of the same category. If sufficient women candidates are not available, these vacancies will be filled by male candidates of the respective category. Such reserved vacancies for women will not be carried forward to subsequent years. Reservation for women, including widows and divorcees, is considered horizontal within the category.
  4. Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Reservation for PwD is horizontal, meaning candidates will be adjusted within their respective categories.
  5. Ex-Servicemen: Reservation for ex-servicemen is horizontal and category-wise. If suitable candidates are unavailable in a recruitment year, vacancies will be filled by the general process and the same number of vacancies will be carried forward to the next recruitment year, after which they will lapse.
  6. PwD Backlog: As per Rajasthan Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2018, if a vacancy for PwD remains unfilled due to unavailability of suitable candidates, it will be carried forward. If still not filled, it will be interchanged among different PwD categories. If still no PwD candidate is available, the employer may fill it with a non-PwD candidate.
  7. Domicile and Reservation: Reservation benefits (SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen) are only for original residents of Rajasthan. Applicants from other states will be considered under the general category. As per Supreme Court and High Court judgments, women who become residents of Rajasthan after marriage are not eligible for reservation benefits in public employment under SC/ST/OBC/MBC categories if they are from outside Rajasthan; they will be considered under the general category.
  8. Meritorious Sportspersons: Reservation benefits will be provided to meritorious sportspersons as per Personnel Department notifications dated 15.03.2013 and 21.11.2019.

Essential Educational Qualifications

  1. At least a Second Class Master's Degree in:
    • Economics, OR
    • Statistics, OR
    • Mathematics with a paper in Statistics, OR
    • Commerce with Statistics, OR
    • M.Sc (Agriculture) Statistics from a University established by law in India or a foreign qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by the Government. AND A Certificate (RS-CIT course conducted by Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited) awarded by Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota or any other certificate awarded by a competent authority declared equivalent to the above certificate by the Department of Information, Technology and Communication in Government of Rajasthan.
  2. Experience: Experience of handling official Statistics for at least one year in a Government Department or a reputed commercial concern or University. However, this experience is not required for candidates:
    • with a first-class Master's degree or Doctorate in any of the specified subjects as Educational Qualifications; or
    • having successfully undergone two years' training in Statistics at a recognized Statistical Institute or University; or
    • having passed a one-year Diploma Course from a recognized University or Institution having Statistics and Economics as optional papers; or
    • belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes.
  3. Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagri Script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.

Note: Candidates appearing in the final year of the requisite educational qualification are eligible to apply but must provide proof of acquiring the qualification before the written examination conducted by the Commission.

Pay Scale

Pay Matrix Level L-12 (Grade Pay -4800/-). During the probation period, a fixed monthly salary will be paid as per State Government rules.

Age Limit

Candidates must be a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 40 years as of 01.01.2026.

Note on Age Relaxation: For candidates who were overage based on the 01.01.2024 calculation for previous advertisements of this post (in 2023), an additional one-year age relaxation will be provided as per rules.

Important Notes on Age Relaxation:

  1. The age relaxation provisions from points 1 to 14 are non-cumulative; candidates will only receive the benefit of one provision.
  2. An additional 5 years relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (point 15) is provided on top of other applicable age relaxations.

Application Process

Online Application Period: From 26.10.2025 to 25.11.2025 (until 12:00 AM midnight).

How to Apply Online:

  1. Applicants must first complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the Commission's portal (https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in) via their SSO ID.
  2. The OTR fee is paid only once. If already paid for another examination, it's not required again.
  3. Access the 'Apply Online' link for the respective examination on the RPSC website or through the SSO portal. Fill in the application form carefully.
  4. Upload required documents, photo, and signature. Ensure all details are correct before final submission.
  5. Corrections to the online application form are allowed for a specified period after the last date of application. A fee of Rs. 500/- will be charged for corrections.
  6. Applicants are advised to apply well before the last date to avoid technical issues.
  7. False or incorrect information can lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action.
  8. Candidates can withdraw their application online within the specified amendment period.

Note on OTR Fee and Exam Absence:

  • If a candidate is absent from 2 recruitment examinations conducted by the commission/board in a financial year, their online application facility will be blocked.
  • To unblock, a fee of Rs. 750/- must be paid.
  • If blocked again, a fee of Rs. 1500/- will be charged.
  • If a candidate wishes to withdraw from the examination, they can do so before the exam date. In such cases, absence will not be counted for blocking purposes.

Important Notes:

  • The detailed syllabus will be intimated to candidates within the stipulated time.
  • Negative Marking: One-third (1/3rd) of the marks prescribed for a particular question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • OMR Sheet Instructions: Each question has five options (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). Darken only one circle with a BLUE BALL POINT PEN. If not attempting a question, darken circle '5'. If no circle is darkened, 1/3rd marks will be deducted. An extra 10 minutes will be provided for darkening circles. Candidates failing to darken any of the five circles in more than 10% questions will be disqualified.

Special Instructions for Scribe/Compensatory Time for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities

  1. Filling PwD/Special Category in the online application and selecting the scribe option does not guarantee eligibility for a scribe. Compliance with Commission's instructions is necessary.
  2. Candidates bringing their own scribe must submit the required medical certificate, undertaking, scribe's photo ID, and academic qualification proof to the center superintendent at least one day before the exam.
  3. Candidates requesting a scribe from the Commission/Center Superintendent must submit the required medical certificate and undertaking at least two days before the exam.
  4. Specific disability categories (e.g., blindness, locomotor disability (both arms), cerebral palsy) may be eligible for a scribe based on medical certificate and undertaking. Other categories as per Section-2(r) of The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, if unable to write, require a certificate from the Chief Medical and Health Officer/Medical Superintendent.
  5. Candidates with less than 40% disability (as per Section-2(s) of The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016), if unable to write, require a certificate from CMHO/Medical Superintendent. Such candidates must contact the Commission at least two days before the exam with all documents.

Verification of Certificates

Applicants seeking category benefits (SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, meritorious sportsperson, ex-servicemen, scheduled area, widow, divorcee, PwD, State employee, non-gazetted employee, ministerial employee, departmental employee, etc.) must ensure their original documents verify their eligibility after passing the preliminary/main/screening test or interview.

  1. Caste Certificates (SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS): Must be issued by the last date of online application. If not, an affidavit must be submitted stating eligibility for the category by the last date.
  2. OBC/MBC Certificates: Must correctly state residence and non-creamy layer status, issued by the competent authority based on father's and mother's income.
  3. Married Women's Caste Certificates: For reserved categories, certificates must be issued in the father's name and address. Certificates based on husband's name/address/income will not be accepted.
  4. SC/ST Certificates: Must be issued by a competent authority as per the prescribed format. Scheduled Area certificates must be issued after the notification dated 21.10.2019 and before the last date of online application.
  5. EWS Certificate (Income & Assets Certificate): Must be issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format, showing the applicant's and father's name, based on family income, and confirming Rajasthan domicile.

General Conditions and Important Notes

  1. All required qualifications (educational, experience, age, etc.) must be obtained by the last date of application/exam/interview (whichever is specified in the advertisement).
  2. New PwD certificates issued after 01.03.2024 must be from the UDID/Swavlamban Portal.
  3. Ex-Servicemen: Those who have retired or are due to retire within one year must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the competent authority. If selected before actual retirement, the appointing authority may relax the joining period.
  4. Marriage Registration: Mandatory for appointment in state service since 22.05.2006.
  5. Two-Child Norm: Candidates with more than two children on or after 01.06.2002 are not eligible. Exceptions apply for subsequent multiple births, disabled children, and remarriage without violating rules.
  6. Character Certificate: Required from the last educational institution.
  7. Police Verification: Required for selected candidates; no adverse criminal record should exist.
  8. Medical Examination: Required for selected candidates to confirm fitness for state service.
  9. NOC from Employer: Required if already employed in government service/PSUs.
  10. The Commission's decision regarding eligibility will be final.

Inaccurate, incomplete, or false information will lead to cancellation of candidature, and no offline requests for correction will be entertained.
