The decision of the appellate authority is final.\n* 12.9.8 PST/PET will be of qualifying/elimination nature and will not carry any marks.\n* 12.9.9 Ex-Servicemen are not required to undergo PET but must pass written tests and fulfill prescribed physical and medical standards.\n* 12.9.10 Pregnancy Policy for Female Candidates:\n * Female candidates must submit a self-declaration regarding pregnancy status for PST/PET.\n * If not pregnant, they can participate. False declaration is at their own risk.\n * If declared pregnant, a confirmatory pregnancy test will be done. If found pregnant, they will be declared temporarily unfit, and appointment held in abeyance until confinement.\n * Vacancy will be reserved. Re-examination for PST/PET will be six weeks post-confinement, subject to medical fitness certificate. Upon fitness, appointed to reserved post with seniority benefits.\n * If found negative for pregnancy, allowed to participate.\n\n### Medical Standard (For all posts)\n* 12.10.1 Medical Examination: Qualified Paper-II candidates will undergo DME by a Medical Officer (CAPFs/Central/State Govt. Hospital). Review Medical Examination (RME) for unfit candidates will be conducted, decision of RME Board/Review Medical Board is final.\n* 12.10.2 Eye Sight:\n * Minimum near vision: N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye).\n * Minimum distant vision: 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye).\n * No correction (glasses or surgery) allowed.\n * For right-handed persons, the right eye is considered the better eye.\n* 12.10.3 Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, or squint in eyes, and must possess high colour vision.\n* 12.10.4 Must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect interfering with duties.\n\n### Obstacle Events (for training curriculum)\n* 12.11 Finally selected Sub-Inspectors must pass seven obstacle events as part of training, failing which they may not be retained:\n * Jumping over the Vertical Board.\n * Holding the rope on jumping from the Board.\n * Tarzan Swing.\n * Jumping on the Horizontal Board.\n * Parallel Rope.\n * Monkey Crawl.\n * Vertical Rope.\n\n### Tattoo Policy\n* 12.12 Tattoos are allowed under specific stipulations:\n * 12.12.1 Content: Religious symbols, figures, and names (as followed in Indian Army) are permitted.\n * 12.12.2 Location: Traditional sites like the inner aspect of the forearm (only left forearm, as it's a non-saluting limb) or dorsum of the hands are allowed.\n * 12.12.3 Size: Must be less than ¼ of the particular part (Elbow or Hand) of the body.
