UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination-2026 E-Admit Card

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the e-Admit Cards for the Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination-2026.

Examination Details

  • Examination Date: 08th February, 2026 (Sunday)
  • Admit Card Release Date: 30th January, 2026

Candidates are advised to download and print their e-Admit Cards from the official website. It is mandatory to preserve the e-Admit Card until the declaration of the final results. No paper Admit Card will be issued for this examination.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  1. Required Documents: Candidates must produce a printout of their e-Admit Card along with a Photo ID Card (mentioned on the admit card) at the allotted examination venue.
  2. Discrepancies: In case of any discrepancy in the e-Admit Card, candidates should immediately contact the Commission via email at usgeol-upsc@nic.in.
  3. Photograph Issues: If the photograph on the e-Admit Card is not visible, blurred, or unavailable, candidates must carry two identical photographs (one for each session) to the venue.
  4. Examination Venue: Candidates will only be allowed to appear at the Examination Venue mentioned on their e-Admit Card.
  5. Face Authentication: All candidates will undergo Face Authentication/Identity verification and frisking at the venue.

Examination Schedule and Timings

  • Forenoon Session: 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM
  • Afternoon Session: 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM
  • Entry Closure: Entry to the Examination Venue will be closed 30 minutes prior to the commencement of each session. No candidate will be allowed entry after the closure.

Permitted and Prohibited Items

  • Permitted: Candidates must bring a Black Ball Point Pen to mark answers on the OMR sheet and fill the Attendance List. Normal or simple wristwatches are allowed.
  • Prohibited: Mobile phones (even in switch-off mode), smart/digital watches, other IT gadgets, books, bags, and other valuable/costly items are strictly prohibited inside the examination premises. Possession of such items will lead to disciplinary action, which may include cancellation of candidature and filing of an FIR.

Question Paper Representations

Candidates can submit representations, if any, regarding the questions asked in the examination through the “Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep)”.
