Application Process Guidelines

  1. Registration is complete only when the fee is deposited on or before the last date.
  2. Candidates must ensure they fulfill all eligibility criteria as on the date of eligibility.
  3. All required documents (resume, ID proof, age proof, PwBD Certificate (if applicable), educational qualification, certifications, experience, Biodata etc.) must be uploaded. Failure to do so will result in the application/candidature not being considered.
  4. Shortlisting is provisional; original documents will be verified at the time of interview.
  5. Ineligible candidates will not be allowed to appear for interviews and will not be reimbursed for travelling expenses.
  6. Candidates should regularly check https://sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings for updates. Call letters/advice will be sent by e-mail only (no hard copy).
  7. All revisions/corrigendum will be hosted on the Bank's website only.
  8. If multiple candidates score the same marks on the final merit list, ranking will be based on age in descending order.
  9. Hard copies of applications and other documents need not be sent.
  10. Candidates can apply for more than one post if they fulfill eligibility criteria for each post.

  • Experience (Post Basic Education qualifications) (As on 2025-10-01):

Primary functions include conducting fundamental and technical research, analyzing macroeconomic trends, generating financial models, tracking corporate earnings, preparing and presenting research notes, collaborating with trading desk, understanding regulatory guidelines, preparing various research reports, and tracking economic and market data.

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting: Based on minimum qualification and experience. The Bank's committee will decide parameters and the number of candidates to be shortlisted. The Bank's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entertained.
  2. Interview: Carries 100 marks. Qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank. No correspondence entertained.
  3. Merit list: Prepared in descending order based on interview scores. In case of a tie, candidates will be ranked according to age in descending order.

Grade & Remuneration

  • Senior Management Grade Scale-V: Rs (120940-3360/2-127660-3680/2-135020)
  • Middle Management Grade Scale-III: Rs (85920-2680/5-99320-2980/2-105280)
  • Other benefits: Eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, Provident Fund, Contributory Pension Fund i.e., NPS, Leave Fare Concession (LFC), Medical Facility, other perquisites as per rules in force.

Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)

Horizontal reservation as per section 34 of "The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act (RPWD), 2016". The posts are identified suitable for the following disabilities:

  • Suitable Category of Benchmark Disabilities: VI (Visually Impaired) {VI -LV (Low Vision )}
  • Functional Requirement: S- Sitting, W- Walking, MF- Manipulation by Fingers, BN- Bending, ST- Standing, H- Hearing, C- Communication
  • Visual Impairment (VI-LV): Only those with Low Vision (Visual acuity not exceeding 6/18 or less than 20/60 upto 3/60 or upto 10/200 Snellen, or limitation of field of vision subtending an angle of less than 40 degree up to 10 degree) after best correction are eligible.
    • A person must have a benchmark disability (not less than 40%) and submit the latest Disability Certificate on the prescribed format.

General Information

  • Candidates with adverse reports regarding character/antecedents/moral turpitude are not eligible.
  • If multiple applications are submitted for multiple posts, only the last valid (completed) application will be retained, and other fees forfeited.
  • Admission to all stages of recruitment is purely provisional. Issuance of call letter(s)/e-Admit Card(s) does not imply final acceptance of candidature.
  • Govt./Quasi Govt. employees/Public Sector undertakings must submit a 'No Objection Certificate' at the time of interview.

How to Apply & Document Upload

Guidelines for Filling Online Application

  1. Register online via the link and pay the application fee.
  2. Scan your latest photograph and signature. Applications won't be registered without these uploads.
  3. Fill the application carefully. You can save and re-open the application three times for editing. Note down the provisional registration number and password.
  4. After registering, take a printout of the system-generated online application forms.
  5. Candidates seeking Age relaxation need to submit copies of certificates at the time of joining. No change in category is permitted after registration.

Guidelines for Payment of Fees

  1. Application fees (Non-refundable): Rs. 750/- for General/EWS/OBC candidates. No fees for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  2. Pay fees through payment gateway integrated with the application (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking).
  3. Transaction charges will be borne by candidates.
  4. Upon successful transaction, an e-receipt and application form will be generated, which should be printed and retained.
  5. If online payment fails, make fresh attempts.
  6. A provision exists to reprint the e-Receipt and Application form later.
  7. Application Fee once paid will NOT be refunded or adjusted.

  4. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable (religious headwear allowed if face is not covered).

Signature File Type/Size

  1. Sign on white paper with Black Ink pen. Signature must be by the applicant only.
  2. Size: 10 kb - 20 kb, Dimensions: 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).
  3. Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS is NOT accepted.

Guidelines for Scanning

  1. Scanner Resolution: Minimum 200 dpi, Color to True Color.
  2. Crop image to the edge of photo/signature; use upload editor for final size.
  3. Photo/signature file should be JPG or JPEG format (e.g., image01.jpg).
  4. Candidates can check dimensions by listing folder/files or hovering mouse over icon.
  5. Use MS Paint or MSOffice Picture Manager to save/reduce photo (below 50 kb) & signature (below 20 kb) in .jpg format.
