Introduction

State Bank of India invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for appointment to Specialist Cadre Officers Posts on Contract Basis. Candidates are advised to carefully read and understand the notification before applying.

  • Upload all required documents (Resume, ID proof, Age proof, Caste Certificate, PwBD Certificate, Educational qualification, other qualifications/certifications, Proof of Experience, etc.). Failure to upload documents will lead to non-consideration for shortlisting/interview.
  • Admission to all stages of recruitment is provisional, subject to satisfying eligibility conditions.
  • Appointment is subject to completing formalities like eligibility verification, medical examination, and antecedents verification.
  • Candidates seeking age relaxation or fee exemption must submit valid certificates from the Competent Authority.
  • Candidates with adverse reports regarding character/antecedents are not eligible.
  • If multiple applications are submitted for the same post, only the last valid (completed) application will be retained; fees for other registrations will be forfeited.

Important Points Regarding Vacancies and Reservations

  • Reservation for PwBD candidates is horizontal and included in the overall vacancy of the respective parent category.
  • Vacancies are provisional and may vary.
  • Posting, placement, and utilization of selected candidates are at the sole discretion of the Bank.
  • Maximum age indicated is for Unreserved category candidates. Age relaxation is available to reserved categories as per Govt. of India guidelines.
  • OBC candidates belonging to the 'Creamy Layer' are not entitled to OBC reservation and age relaxation. They must indicate their category as 'UR' or 'UR (PwBD)'.
  • A declaration stating non-creamy layer status and an OBC certificate (issued between 2025-04-01 and the interview date) must be submitted if called for an interview.
  • Candidates from reserved categories (including PwBD) may apply for unreserved vacancies if they fulfill applicable eligibility criteria.
  • Benefit of reservation/relaxation is available only upon production of valid Caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format.
  • Age Relaxation in Upper Age Limit (if applicable):
    • Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
    • Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST): 5 years
    • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
