Application Process

  • Candidates must apply online through the website: https://dsssbonline.nic.in
  • Registration on DSSSB's portal is a one-time exercise.
  • No other mode of application will be accepted.
  • Candidates are advised to submit applications well before the closing date to avoid technical issues.
  • No requests for change/correction/modification will be entertained after submission of the online application form.

Application Fees

  • Fee: ₹ 100/-
  • Exemptions: Women candidates, Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen category candidates.
  • Payment must be made online through SBI e-pay.
  • Application fees are non-refundable.

Eligibility Criteria (General)

  • Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Age, Educational Qualifications, Experience: Must be eligible as per Recruitment Rules notified by the User Departments. These conditions will be determined as on 07/11/2025.
  • TGT Posts (General Pattern):
    • Bachelor's Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized University/Institute (subject studied for at least 2 years); OR Master's Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks. OR 4-year integrated programme/course/degree of B.El.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed. from an NCTE recognized Institution (subject studied for at least 3 years).
    • B.Ed. or three-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed. from a recognized University/Institute.
    • Pass in the Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.
    • Note: Specific subject requirements apply (e.g., TGT (Mathematics) must have studied Mathematics; TGT (Social Science) must have studied at least one of History / Political Science / Geography / Economics / Sociology / Business Studies / Statistics; TGT (Natural Science) must have studied at least one of Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Botany / Zoology / Anthropology / Life Science / Electronics / Bio-Technology / Bio-Chemistry / Bio-Medical Science / Molecular Cell Biology / Micro Biology / Applied Science and Geology).
  • Drawing Teacher (Post Code 71/25): Five years' Diploma in Drawing/Painting/Sculpture/Graphic Art from a government-recognized university/institute OR Master's Degree in Drawing and Painting/Fine Art from a recognized university. Studied Hindi up to Secondary/Senior Secondary School Level is desirable.
  • Special Education Teacher (Post Code 72/25): Graduate with B.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed. with a two-year diploma in special education or post-graduate professional diploma in special education OR any other equivalent qualification approved by Rehabilitation Council of India. Qualifying CTET conducted by CBSE is compulsory.
  • Pay Scale (for TGT posts): ₹ 44,900 - 1,42,400/- (Pay Level – 7), Group: 'B' (General Central Service, Non-Ministerial, Non-Gazetted).

Age Limit

  • General: Not exceeding 30 years.
  • Relaxation for Government Servants: Up to 5 years in accordance with instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.
  • General Age Relaxation for Women Candidates: 10 years.
  • Contractual Employees (Guest Teachers of Directorate of Education): One-time age relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years (provided they worked for at least 120 working days in that particular academic year and have not availed relaxation earlier).
  • Category-wise Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST: 05 years
    • OBC: 03 years
    • PwBD + UR/EWS: 10 years
    • PwBD + SC/ST: 15 years
    • PwBD + OBC: 13 years
    • Departmental Candidate (Group B Post): Up to 05 years (for those with at least three years of continuous service).
    • Ex-Servicemen Group B (Non-Gazetted): Period of Military Service + 3 years (Maximum up to 55 years).

Reservation Benefits

  • Reservation benefits will be available as per extant instructions/orders of Govt. of NCT of Delhi/DOP&T.
  • Candidates must select their particular category when applying online; no changes will be entertained later.
  • The cut-off date for ascertaining eligibility for benefits is 07/11/2025.
  • Only OBC (Delhi) candidates will receive reservation/age relaxation benefits. OBC (Outside) candidates will be treated as Un-reserved.
  • OBC candidates must possess an OBC certificate issued on or before 07/11/2025 and be from the Non-Creamy Layer.

Examination Scheme (Tier-I – Technical/Teaching)

  • Type: One Tier Examination (MCQ based)
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Total Questions: 200
  • Total Marks: 200
  • Syllabus:
    • Section-A (100 Marks):
      • General Awareness
      • General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability
      • Arithmetical & Numerical Ability
      • Test of Hindi Language & Comprehension
      • Test of English Language & Comprehension
      • (20 Marks each, 100 Questions)
    • Section-B (100 Marks):
      • MCQs from the subject concerned including questions on teaching methodology/B.Ed.
      • (100 Questions)

Marking Scheme

  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong MCQ answer.
  • The examination questions will be bilingual (Hindi & English), except for language papers.

Minimum Qualifying Marks (for Objective Written Examination)

  • General/EWS: 40%
  • OBC (Delhi): 35%
  • SC/ST/PH (PwBD): 30%
  • Ex-Servicemen: 5% relaxation in their respective categories, subject to a minimum of 30%.
  • Mandatory minimum qualifying marks apply only to Section-B. Combined marks of Section-A and Section-B will be used for the final merit list.

Mode of Selection

  • Selection will be based on the Computer Based Test/Exam.
  • Marks scored by candidates will be normalized (if required) using the formula published by DSSSB (Notice No. 10 (271)/Sec.Cell/DSSSB/18/989 dated 11.07.2018).
  • Draft Answer Keys will be displayed online for objections.
  • Skill Test / Physical Endurance Test / Driving Test / Trade Test will be conducted as per job requirements.

Important Instructions to Candidates

  • Candidature is provisional; eligibility will be verified at the e-dossier stage by user departments.
  • Only one online registration and one online application per post code are allowed.
  • Candidates must upload a recent and clear colour photograph with a plain white or off-white background.
  • Prohibited items (mobile phones, electronic gadgets, etc.) are not allowed in the examination centre.
  • Candidates must adhere to the prescribed dress code: light clothes with half sleeves (no big buttons, brooch/badge, flower etc.), salwar/trouser, slippers/sandals with low heels (shoes not allowed).
