This notice is issued by the Railway Recruitment Board, Gorakhpur, regarding candidates who appeared for Document Verification for various posts under CEN-03/2024 of JE & Others. Following the Document Verification, a Medical Examination was conducted at Railway Hospitals.
Some candidates have been found unfit or not fit in the prescribed medical category as per the medical reports received from the Railway Hospitals. Details of the candidates found medically unfit are available in the official document.
As per instructions in Railway Board's letter No.2014/H/5/8/(Policy) dated 07.07.2017, candidates who wish to appeal against the decision of the medical committee may do so.
To appeal, candidates must submit their appeal to the Principal Chief Medical Director, North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur, within a period of 30 days from the date of issue of this information (17/10/2025) with due justification. The appeal should be addressed to the Principal Chief Medical Director, North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur, and should reach the following address by Speed Post or delivered by hand during working hours:
To The Chairman Railway Recruitment Board, Railway Station Road, Gorakhpur-273012 (Uttar Pradesh).
Such an appeal will only be entertained if the candidate produces a medical certificate from a Government/Private doctor of the Speciality/Specialities in which the candidate has been found unfit. The certificate must contain a note stating that the Government/Private Specialist is fully aware of the physical and visual standards set by the Railways for the particular medical category and that they are aware the candidate has already been declared unfit by an appropriate medical board.
Candidates must send their appeal to the Railway Recruitment Board, Gorakhpur, by 15/11/2025 with the following three documents:
The medical certificate provided by the specialist must bear the photograph and identification marks of the candidate, duly attested by the Government/Private issuing authority. The issuing authority must clearly mention their full name, designation, address, and Medical Council of India/State registration number.
