Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026 E-Admit Card

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the e-Admit Cards for the Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2026. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on 8th February 2026 (Sunday) across India.

Candidates can download their e-Admit Cards from the official UPSC website: https://upsconline.nic.in. It is mandatory for candidates to download and take a printout of their e-Admit Card. This card must be preserved until the final results are declared. No physical paper Admit Cards will be issued for this examination.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • Mandatory Documents: Candidates must produce a printout of their e-Admit Card along with the Photo ID card mentioned on it at the examination venue. Failure to do so will result in denial of entry.
  • Unclear Photograph: If the photograph on the e-Admit Card is not clear, the candidate must bring a photo identity card and two passport-sized photographs (one for each session) to be affixed on an undertaking at the venue.
  • Discrepancies: In case of any discrepancy in the e-Admit Card, candidates should immediately contact the Commission via email at usengg-upsc@nic.in.
  • Entry Time: Entry to the examination venue will be closed 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the exam. The timings are 09:00 AM for the Forenoon Session and 01:30 PM for the Afternoon Session.
  • Examination Venue: Candidates must appear only at the examination venue mentioned on their e-Admit Card.
  • Prohibited Items: Bags, baggage, mobile phones (even if switched off), smart/digital watches, IT gadgets, books, and other valuable/costly items are not allowed inside the examination premises. The Commission will not be responsible for any loss of belongings.
  • Allowed Items: Candidates are permitted to carry only the printout of the e-Admit Card, pen, pencil, identity proof, and copies of self-photographs (if applicable).
  • Use of Black Ball Point Pen: Candidates must bring a Black Ball Point Pen to fill the OMR Answer Sheets and Attendance List.
  • Wrist Watches: Use of normal or simple wristwatches is permitted. However, smartwatches or watches with any special accessory that can be used as a communication device are strictly prohibited.
  • Change of Name: If a candidate has changed their name, they must produce a Government-issued Photo ID reflecting the new name at the exam centre for each session.
