UPSC Medical Officer (Ayurveda) Recruitment Shortlisted Candidates List

This notice is regarding the recruitment to 09 vacancies for the post of Medical Officer (Ayurveda) in the Directorate of AYUSH, Govt. of Puducherry.

Candidates who wish to represent against their Provisionality/Rejection or submit deficient documents may do so by emailing substantive grounds and documentary proof to upsc.spc1@gov.in immediately. The last date for submission is 22.02.2026. Mails received after this date will not be entertained. The subject line of the email must mention the subject and Roll No. Non-submission of deficient documents may lead to the cancellation of candidature.

Essential Qualification

• Educational: (i) A Degree in Ayurveda from a recognized University/Statutory State Board/Council/Faculty of Indian Systems of Medicine recognized under the Indian Medical Council 1970 (48 of 1970).
• (ii) Enrolment on the Central Register of Indian Medicine or a State Register of Indian Medicine.

Documents Required for Scrutiny

• Matriculation/Higher Secondary Certificate/Mark sheet showing date of birth.
• Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) in the prescribed format. EWS certificate must be valid for the year 2025-26.
• Degree of BAMS/Provisional certificate of BAMS with marksheet/final marksheet from a recognized University.
• Certificate of Enrolment on the Central or State Register of Indian Medicine.
• PwBD certificate in the prescribed format for PwBD candidates.
• Certificate of Govt. Servant if age relaxation is claimed.
• An Affidavit regarding any difference or spelling in name/father's name in documents/certificates and Online Recruitment Application (ORA).

Conditions for Provisionally Shortlisted Candidates

Candidates have been provisionally shortlisted subject to furnishing documents as per the codes below:

• Code A: Matriculation/Higher Secondary Certificate/Mark Sheet showing Date of Birth.
• Code B: Duly filled Caste certificate in prescribed format (for SC/ST/OBC & EWS candidate).
• Code C: BAMS Degree/Provisional certificate along with marksheets/final year marksheet as per EQ.
• Code D: Certificate of Enrolment on the Central or State Register of Indian Medicine.
• Code E: PwBD certificate in prescribed format clearly mentioning the nature of disability.
• Code F: An Affidavit for change or spelling difference in Name/Father's Name in Online Recruitment Application and Certificates.

Reason for Rejection

Two candidates were rejected because the nature of disability mentioned in their PwBD certificate was not suitable as per the Advertisement and Recruitment Rules for the post.
