Important Dates

Application and Account Management

  • Account Creation Requirements: Candidates must have their own active mobile number and a valid personal email ID.
  • Existing Accounts: Candidates who have already created an account for any RRB notification in 2024 or 2025 do not need to create a new one. They can log in with the same credentials.
  • Editing 'Create an Account' Details: Details filled in the 'Create an Account' form (including email ID, mobile number) and the chosen RRB CANNOT be edited once the account is created.
  • Application Modification: Candidates can modify other details during the modification window by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs. 250/- for each occasion.
  • Eligibility for Final Year Students: Candidates awaiting final results of prescribed qualifications after the closing date (29.01.2026) are not eligible to apply. They must possess the required qualifications on or before the closing date.

Application Submission

  • Platform: It is advised to use a Desktop/Laptop for filling the application as some features may not work on mobile platforms.
  • RRB and Application Limits:
    • Candidates can apply to only ONE RRB.
    • Applying to more than one RRB or submitting multiple applications to the same RRB will result in the rejection of all applications and debarment from future exams.
  • Pay Levels: The recruitment includes three pay levels (Level-7, Level-6, Level-2). A common application can be submitted for different Pay Levels if the candidate meets the educational requirements.

Fees and Concessions

  • Fee Payment: Fees must be paid ONLINE via Net banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.
  • Fee Refund: The examination fee (after deducting bank charges) is refundable only to candidates who attend the Computer Based Test (CBT). The modification fee is non-refundable.
  • Fee Concession Eligibility: Fee concessions are available for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities, and Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates.
  • EBC (Economically Backward Class): EBC candidates are those with an annual family income of less than Rs. 50,000/- or holders of a BPL card. They are eligible for fee concession only, not for post reservation.

Documents and Verification

  • Aadhaar Verification: Aadhaar validation is required to ensure the genuineness of the candidature. If a candidate does not have Aadhaar, they can use other documents like a Driving License, Passport, PAN, Voter ID, etc.
  • Document Upload Specifications:
    • Photograph: JPEG format, 40 KB to 70 KB (min 100 DPI).
    • Signature: JPEG format, 30 KB to 70 KB (min 100 DPI).
    • Caste Certificate (for SC/ST): PDF format, less than 500 KB (required to avail Free Travel Pass).
  • Free Travel Authority (Railway Pass): This facility is available only for SC/ST candidates. They must upload their Caste Certificate to avail this.

Recruitment Process

  • Stages:
    1. Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
    2. Translation Test (as applicable)
    3. Document Verification (DV)
    4. Medical Examination (ME)
  • Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd of the marks for every incorrect answer in the CBT.
