The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Ajmer, invites online applications for the recruitment of 12 permanent posts of Protection Officer under the Women and Child Development Department, as per the Rajasthan Women Empowerment (State and Subordinate) Service Rules, 2017. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease.

Abbreviations: GEN - General, UR - Unreserved, SC - Scheduled Castes, ST - Scheduled Tribes, OBC - Other Backward Classes, MBC - More Backward Classes, EWS - Economically Weaker Sections, WE - Women, WD - Widow, DV - Divorcee.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

  1. Law Graduate (LL.B) or Masters in Social Work (MSW) from a University established by law in India.
  2. Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.

Note: Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying examination are also eligible to apply, but they must provide proof of having acquired the educational qualification before the competitive examination conducted by the Commission.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2027)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 40 years

Note: A one-year additional relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to candidates who would have been age-eligible on 01.01.2027, as the posts were previously advertised in 2024 with the age calculation date of 01.01.2025 and no advertisement was issued thereafter.

Pay Scale

  • Pay Matrix Level L-11 (Grade Pay - 4200/-)
  • During the probation period, a fixed monthly salary (Fix Pay) will be payable as per government rules.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected through a written examination. The Commission may use scaling/moderation/normalization if required. The names of suitable candidates will be recommended to the government for appointment based on merit in the written examination.

Examination Scheme

  • The competitive examination will carry a total of 600 marks.
  • There will be two papers, each of 300 marks.
  • The duration of each paper will be 3 hours.
  • Paper I: General Studies (Compulsory).
  • Paper II: Optional Paper (Candidates must choose one):
    • (a) Social Work
    • (b) Law
  • All questions will be of the multiple-choice type.
  • Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Minimum Passing Marks: 40% in each paper.

Application Procedure

Application Period: From 24.12.2025 to 22.01.2026 (12:00 Midnight).

  1. Candidates must apply online through the RPSC website at https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in or the SSO portal at https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in.
  2. One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory. Candidates must fill in their personal details carefully as no changes will be allowed in the name, father's name, date of birth, and gender after OTR submission.

One-Time Registration Fee

  • General (Unreserved) / Creamy Layer of BC & MBC: ₹ 600/-
  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/Non-Creamy Layer BC & MBC/EWS/Sahariya) of Rajasthan: ₹ 400/-
  • Divyangjan (Persons with Disabilities): ₹ 400/-
