Introduction

This notice announces the Open Competitive Examination for recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) for the year 2025. This examination is also open to Constables, Head Constables, and Assistant Sub-Inspectors of Delhi Police with a minimum of three years' service, provided they are not more than 30 years old (33 for OBC and 35 for SC/ST).

  • Last date and time for online fee payment: 17.10.2025 (23:00 hrs)
  • Window for Application Form Correction and online payment of Correction Charges: 24.10.2025 to 26.10.2025 (23:00 hrs)
  • Schedule of Computer Based Examination: November - December, 2025

Pay Scale and Classification

Both Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs and Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police posts carry a pay scale of Level-6 (Rs.35,400-Rs.1,12,400/-).

  • Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs: Classified as Group 'B' (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.
  • Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police: Classified as Group 'C' by Delhi Police.

Tentative Vacancies

Sub-Inspector (Exe.) in Delhi Police

  • Male: Total 142 vacancies (including 114 Open, 8 Ex-Servicemen, 6 Ex-Servicemen (Spl. Category), and 14 for Departmental Candidates).
  • Female: Total 70 vacancies (all Open).

Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs

  • Grand Total: 2861 vacancies (Male: 2651, Female: 210).
  • 10% reservation for Ex-Servicemen (286 posts).

Candidates selected for appointment to posts of SI in CAPFs are liable to serve anywhere in India.

Reservation and Suitability of Posts

Reservation for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates will be as determined by the CAPFs, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and Delhi Police.
