Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: The crucial date for reckoning age is 01-07-2025. For detailed criteria, refer to Para 5.0, 5.1 & 5.2 of the detailed CEN.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess the prescribed educational/technical qualifications on or before the closing date of 28-07-2025. Candidates with pending final results are not eligible.
  • PwBD Candidates: The suitability of posts for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) is detailed in the Post Parameters Table (Annexure A).
  • Reservation Status (SC/ST/OBC/EWS): The status as on the closing date of application (28-07-2025) will be considered. Candidates must possess the relevant certificate valid as on this date.

Application Process

  • Account Creation: Candidates need an active mobile number and a valid personal Email ID. Those who have created an account for previous CENs can use the same login credentials.
  • How to Apply: Refer to Para 14.1 to 14.5.2 of the detailed CEN. Applications are to be submitted online.
  • Application Fee: Fees must be paid online via Net banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI. The fee is to be paid separately for each Pay Level.
  • Multiple Applications:
    • Separate applications are required for Technician Gr I Signal (Pay Level-5) and Technician Gr III (Pay Level-2) posts.
    • Candidates can apply to different RRBs for different pay levels.
    • Applying to more than one RRB for the same Pay Level will lead to rejection of all applications and debarment.
    • Candidates with multiple qualifications (e.g., 10+2 with Physics & Math, and ITI) should submit a single application for Technician Gr III posts, indicating all qualifications to be considered for all eligible posts under the chosen RRB.

Document Upload Specifications

  • Live Photograph: A live photograph must be captured during the application process using a webcam or smartphone front camera. Pre-existing photos are not allowed. Wear non-white, preferably dark-colored clothing. Do not wear caps, masks, or glasses.
  • Signature:
    • Scanned copy of signature in running handwriting (cursive) using a black ink pen on white paper.
    • Format: JPG/JPEG
    • File Size: 30 KB to 49 KB
    • Dimensions: Minimum 140 pixels (width) × 60 pixels (height).
  • Caste Certificate (for SC/ST candidates requesting Free Travel Pass):
    • Format: PDF
    • File Size: Up to 400 KB

Application Modification

  • A modification window will be active from 01-08-2025 to 10-08-2025.
  • A modification fee of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable) is applicable for each instance of modification.
  • Details filled in the 'Create an Account' form (including email, mobile number, chosen RRB) cannot be modified.

Recruitment Stages

The recruitment process consists of:

  1. Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
  2. Document Verification (DV)
  3. Medical Examination (ME)

Important Information

  • Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd of the marks for each incorrect answer in the CBT.
  • Fee Relaxation: Available for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities, and Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates.
  • Scribe Facility: Available for eligible PwBD candidates. The scribe must be registered on the RRB portal.
  • NOC for Serving Employees: Candidates serving in Central/State Government/PSUs must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of Document Verification.
