SJVN LIMITED, a Nav Ratna Public Sector Undertaking, invites online applications from eligible candidates who are domiciled in Himachal Pradesh for a one-year apprenticeship training program under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961.
Vacancy Details
1. Graduate Apprentices (Total: 40 Seats)
- Disciplines: Civil (15), Electrical (10), Mechanical (10), Information technology (5)
- Required Qualification: Full-time 4 years Bachelor's degree in Engineering in the relevant branch, from an Institute/University recognized by AICTE.
2. Technician (Diploma) Apprentices (Total: 25 Seats)
- Disciplines: Civil (10), Electrical (05), Mechanical (05), Information technology (05)
- Required Qualification: Full-time 3 years Polytechnical diploma in Engineering in the relevant branch, from an Institute/University recognized by AICTE/Board of Technical Education of State.
3. Technician (ITI) Apprentices (Total: 35 Seats)
- Trades: Electrician (15), Stenographer & Secretarial Assistant (05), Fitter (05), Welder (05), Mechanic (Electronics Mechanic/Instrumental Mechanic) (05)
- Required Qualification: Matriculation with a regular full-time ITI course in the respective trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on closing date 15/01/2026):
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD (UR/EWS): 10 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- PwBD (OBC-NCL): 13 years
Domicile:
- Only candidates who are domiciled in Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply.
Stipend
- Graduate Apprentices: ₹15,000/- per month
- Diploma Apprentices: ₹13,500/- per month
- ITI Apprentices: ₹12,500/- per month
Training Duration
- The duration of the training is one year.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on a merit list formed from marks obtained in Matriculation (10th), 12th, and ITI Course/Diploma/Degree in Engineering. There will be no interviews. The weightage for marks is as follows:
- Graduate Apprentice: 20% to 10th, 20% to 12th/Diploma (whichever is higher), and 60% to aggregate in Engineering.
- Diploma Apprentice: 30% to 10th and 70% to Diploma in Engineering.
- ITI Apprentice: 30% to 10th and 70% to ITI.
