This notice is for candidates shortlisted for Document Verification for various posts of Tech-III under CEN-02/2024 who have been found medically unfit.
Candidate Medical Status
A candidate with Roll No-192242190869665, who appeared for Document Verification on 22/04/2025 and subsequent medical examination, has been declared unfit in the medical category 'Bee-One & Below' based on the recommendation of the DMC.
Procedure for Appeal
Candidates wishing to appeal the decision of the medical committee may do so based on Railway Board's letter No.2014/H/5/8/(Policy), dated 07.07.2017. The procedure is as follows:
- Timeline: The appeal must be submitted within 30 days from the date of issue of this notice (01/01/2026). The last date to submit the appeal is 31/01/2026.
- Submission Address: The appeal should be addressed to the Principal Chief Medical Director, North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur, but must be sent by Speed Post or delivered by hand to the following address:

Requirements for Appeal
An appeal will only be considered if the candidate provides a medical certificate from a Government/Private specialist for the condition they were found unfit for. The certificate must include:
- A note stating the specialist is fully aware of the physical and visual standards set by the Railways for that specific medical category.
- The candidate's photograph and marks of identification, duly attested by the issuing authority.
- The full name, designation, address, and Medical Council of India/State registration number of the issuing authority.
Documents to be Submitted with Appeal
Candidates must submit the following three documents:
- A duly signed appeal with justifications, indicating Roll No., Registration No., and date of Document Verification, as per Annexure- 'B'.
- A medical certificate from a Government/Private Specialist in the format provided in Annexure-A.
- A Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) in favour of FA & CAO, North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur.
